Job Description
The Senior Director, Clinical Platforms, will manage and execute the clinical and clinical research marketing and product strategy associated with the Cytek Biosciences flow cytometry instruments, reagents, and software products and services, including marketing analysis, customer requirements, product portfolio input, product management, and other related marketing tasks on a global basis. Works closely with all functions at Cytek including R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Operations, PMO and Sales. Will build and lead the Clinical Platforms team.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop, implement, and manage new and/or existing products in a portfolio by producing and implementing product marketing plans, providing region-specific marketing input into Product Development teams
- In conjunction with Regulatory Affairs, Quality, and the PMO, work with external CRO partners to successfully complete any necessary clinical studies to obtain IVD regulatory clearances for Cytek products
- Gather and provide information related to customers, competitors, the market, product positioning, revenue and unit forecasting, and pricing strategies
- Determine if ancillary products or capabilities are necessary for commercial success (e.g., LIS connectivity, automation), and create user requirements based upon market feedback to build or partner for the applicable ancillary products or capabilities
- Develop recommendations for new products and actively manage their lifecycle post launch, i.e., market growth, maturing and declining activities as they relate to
the regional customers’ needs - In conjunction with regional commercial counterparts, produce and drive credible regional market-based forecasts. Size market opportunities and profit targets for product portfolio
- Assist in identifying and developing effective promotional and sales tools and marketing collateral for assigned products and region(s). Coordinate marketing communications, seminars, customer meetings, and trade show activities and plans with the Marketing Communications group and other business units to ensure consistency and effectiveness
- Maintain and update financial models associated with Cytek clinical products, including pricing scenarios, customer acquisition methods, reimbursement models, and account additions
- Build and maintain Cytek’s knowledge of market access and regional reimbursement models for applicable clinical products
- Maintain knowledge of the trends and competitive activity relevant to the assigned product or business unit in assigned region(s). Recommend new or revised approaches to the current plan
- Interfaces with the Research Marketing team to help create global marketing plans for translational opportunities
- Work with Regional Key Opinion Leaders and industry representatives to identify and build collaboration opportunities
REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related discipline, or the equivalent education and experience, is required
- M.B.A. strongly preferred
- 12+ years’ experience in a similar product management, marketing, or business development role, including experience in managing a product line, pricing, and forecasting, and supply/demand responsibility
- Experience working with IVD-cleared products, IVD product clearances, and operating in the IVD space
- Direct people management experience strongly preferred
- Previous product launch experience required within relevant fields
