  • Support the acquisition and renewal of administrative data sources by preparing data request packages, data use agreements, and research approvals.
  • Communicate with internal and external project leaders and partners and respond to data and analytical support requests.
  • Develop and maintain project and product databases, SharePoint sites, Teams resources, and data visualization tools for internal and partner communications.
  • Collaborate with scientists and program consultants on project development and evaluation, including literature reviews and preparation of research summaries.
  • Participate in meetings, conferences, and occasional site visits to strengthen communication and support consistent interpretation of project protocols.
  • Support public health response activities and training exercises, including staffing designated operations center functions as directed by the team lead.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in a relevant public health, epidemiology, statistics, data science, or quantitative field, plus 1–2 years of relevant professional experience.
  • Knowledge of public health research and evaluation principles, methods, and techniques, with the ability to analyze findings and provide informed recommendations.
  • Understanding of scientific methods, technologies, and practices relevant to public health data and epidemiological analysis.
  • Knowledge of program development, monitoring, and evaluation practices in public health research environments.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Advanced SAS reporting skills, including experience with procedures such as PROC REPORT and PROC TABULATE, are preferred.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities, including PivotTables, conditional formatting, data visualization, and data validation, are preferred.
  • Strong analytical judgment and decision-making skills, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present technical information clearly and convincingly.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining accurate and reliable data.
  • Prior experience working with the CDC is highly desirable, particularly familiarity with its working environment and culture.

Benefits:
