LEAD MASSAGE THERAPIST
Overview
Trapp Family Lodge is a 4-season unique mountain resort committed to providing our guests a relaxing and
fun-filled vacation. We are hiring a talented and dedicated Massage Therapist looking for a leadership role. Applicant must be professional, qualified and eager to lead a team of massage therapists to provide our guests with exceptional, therapeutic and rejuvenating massage treatments during their stay. The massage department
includes a small group of therapists dedicated to the art and practice of the healing benefits of massage.
General Description
The Lead Therapist will provide professional and engaging massage and body treatments to our guests.
This is a management position and in addition you will be responsible for recruiting, hiring and training
other massage therapists as well. We serve our hotel guests, timeshare & villa owners and community members.
Our therapists foster a professional and trusting relationship with our guests, which create a rewarding workplace and repeat-clientele.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Provide therapeutic and healing massage services to guests
* Recruit, hire, conduct and interview new massage therapists
* Provide orientation and facilitate trainings for massage therapists
* Maintain positive work environment by facilitating solution-oriented discussions for therapist’s concerns
* Ensure all treatments are performed according to current protocols
* Monitor employee performance and provide job evaluations
* Enforce TFL policies with massage therapists as written in the Employee Handbook
* Create, maintain and implement staff schedule (Square UP) and time off requests
* Oversee massage bookings / collaborate with FC desk attendant to rectify all errors on Square Up in advance
* Oversee massage booking cancellation policy and enforcement of policy
* Forecast hiring needs and the need for additional shifts according to season
* Solve coverage of team shifts due to absence
* Process necessary paperwork
* Maintain inventory of department forms
* Participate in reviewing department brochures or posters for advertising
* Model exceptional customer service for your staff
* Ability to understand guest service needs
* Respond to customer queries, needs and expectations to ensure guest satisfaction
* Increase and encourage repeat massage business
* Uphold hygiene standards and follow health and safety regulations
* Oversee and enforce the cleaning schedule of waiting room and massage suite area
* Document and report health or accident incidents
* Notifies manager of hazards, injuries and repair needs that negatively affect operations
* Create and adhere to annual budget for massage department
* Order and maintain all necessary equipment for the massage waiting area and suite
* Participate in linen, equipment and the massage product inventory and report needs to FC manager
* Voice challenges and specific concerns to leadership team
* Act as a liaison between massage therapists and FC desk attendants and leadership team
* Be familiar with all hotel services and features
* Opportunity to create new treatments to add to the menu
* Stay current on state legislative developments
QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of an accredited massage therapy program/Certified/Registered
Leadership and supervisory experience
