The ideal candidate will serve as a strategic partner to our contracted clients, ensuring customer satisfaction, retention, and account growth through exceptional service and proactive relationship management.

JOB OVERVIEW
As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with contracted clients while serving as a primary point of contact for their account needs.

This position focuses on client retention, account growth, customer satisfaction, communication, and relationship management. The Account Manager will proactively identify opportunities to strengthen client relationships, expand services, address concerns, and ensure account information remains accurate and up to date.

The successful candidate will be comfortable communicating with customers at all levels, leading virtual and in-person meetings, presenting account performance and recommendations, and collaborating with internal teams to deliver exceptional service.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned contracted clients.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with customers.
  • Maintain a 98% client retention goal through proactive relationship management and exceptional customer service.
  • Regularly communicate with clients to understand their needs, expectations, and concerns.
  • Respond to customer questions, concerns, and requests in a timely and professional manner.
  • Partner with internal departments to resolve customer issues and ensure appropriate follow-through.
  • Maintain a professional, client-first approach in all interactions.
  • Account Growth & Business Development
  • Achieve an organic account growth goal of 20% by identifying upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand services and provide additional value to existing clients.
  • Understand each client's business, service needs, and operational challenges.
  • Make recommendations that align customer needs with Day & Nite AmeriServe's services and capabilities.
  • Build relationships that support long-term account growth and customer loyalty.
  • Account Management & Financial Performance
  • Monitor assigned client accounts and work to maintain 80% or greater compliance with payment terms.
  • Review account information and identify potential payment or account issues.
  • Work collaboratively with internal teams to address account concerns and support timely payment.
  • Ensure client records, contact information, service information, and other account details are complete, accurate, and current.
Client Education & Technology
  • Educate and train clients on Day & Nite AmeriServe's proprietary technologies and platforms.
  • Assist clients with the use and functionality of the DNAS Connect Mobile App and FMAnywhere online platform.
  • Ensure clients understand available tools and resources that can improve communication, service visibility, and account management.
  • Stay knowledgeable about company services, technologies, and processes in order to effectively communicate value to clients.
  • Meetings & Presentations
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) and Annual Business Reviews (ABRs) with assigned clients.
  • Prepare and present account performance, trends, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Confidently lead meetings both virtually and in person.
  • Present information clearly and professionally to customers, including executive-level stakeholders.
  • Follow up on action items and ensure commitments are completed in a timely manner.
Internal Collaboration
  • Work closely with operations, service, dispatch, sales, finance, and other internal departments.
  • Communicate customer needs and expectations clearly to internal teams.
  • Coordinate internally to ensure client concerns and service issues are addressed.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow company processes and procedures.
  • Support a team-oriented culture focused on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in account management, customer service, client relations, sales, or a related role.
  • Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
  • Strong listening skills with the ability to understand customer needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong presentation skills with the confidence to communicate with executive-level stakeholders.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through.
  • Ability to manage multiple accounts, priorities, and deadlines effectively.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer applications.
  • Familiarity with multi-division or service-based operations is a plus.
