Application & Data Integration Developer

Celerion is committed to swift, exceptional clinical research through translational medicine. Every day, we use our experience, agility, and innovative research strategies to help get drugs to market faster.

Location: This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing in the Central or Eastern Time Zones only.

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

We're looking for an Application & Data Integration Developer to help keep our data moving reliably across the business. You'll design and support the pipelines, integrations, and data models that connect our enterprise applications — working hands-on with Python or Perl, APIs, SQL, Snowflake, and ETL processes. If you enjoy solving problems where systems meet data, and you like variety in your day-to-day work, this role is for you.

What You'll Do

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations between our enterprise applications and systems
  • Develop integration solutions using Python, Perl, REST APIs, web services, and related technologies
  • Build and optimize data integrations using SQL, ETL/ELT tools, and platforms including SQL Server, Oracle, and Snowflake
  • Create and maintain Snowflake database objects, data models, and datasets that power our business applications, reporting, and analytics
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues across integrations, databases, and data pipelines to keep systems running smoothly
  • Support reporting and analytics work using tools like TIBCO Spotfire
  • Partner with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and application owners to gather requirements and deliver practical technical solutions
  • Write and maintain clear technical documentation for integrations, data flows, database structures, and support processes
  • Follow our established development, testing, security, change management, and IT governance standards
  • Provide Level 1 Celexus support during U.S. business hours

What We're Looking For

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field — or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of experience in application integration, software development, data integration, or database development
  • Programming experience with Python and/or Perl
  • Experience working with APIs and integration technologies
  • Strong SQL skills and experience with relational databases
  • Experience with SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, or similar database platforms
  • Experience building and maintaining Snowflake databases and data structures
  • Experience with ETL/ELT tools (e.g., Rivery)
  • Solid understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and relational database concepts
  • Ability to translate technical requirements into reliable, maintainable solutions
  • Experience with business intelligence/reporting tools such as TIBCO Spotfire
  • Experience with VBA and Microsoft Office automation
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and change management practices
  • Experience with scheduling, automation, monitoring, and orchestration tools
  • Snowflake certification or training is a plus
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on data quality
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Ability to create reliable, maintainable, and well-documented solutions

Work Schedule & Location

This is a fully remote position open to candidates residing in the Central or Eastern Time Zones. Standard U.S. business hours coverage is required to support Level 1 Celexus support needs.
