ARCHITECTURAL PROJECT MANAGER / CAD WIZARD

You notice how things go together. You love solving spatial puzzles. You can look at a messy plan and see how to make it cleaner, smarter, and more buildable. And when you discover a CAD trick that saves 30 seconds, you’re probably the person who wants to figure out how to save 30 seconds every time you do it.

We’re looking for an Architectural Project Manager who loves the technical side of architecture—the person who genuinely enjoys putting buildings and spaces together and takes pride in making the drawings as smart, organized, and efficient as the design itself.

This is a CAD wizard’s dream job.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You’ll work with a talented architectural team to turn ideas into buildings and spaces that can actually be built.

Your day-to-day may include:

• Developing architectural drawings and construction documents from early concepts through construction.
• Translating sketches, concepts, site information, and design direction into accurate, coordinated drawings.
• Developing plans, elevations, sections, details, schedules, and other construction documentation.
• Solving the little—and sometimes not-so-little—puzzles that come with putting buildings together.
• Working with architects, designers, engineers, and project teams to coordinate the details.
• Reviewing drawings with a critical eye and asking, “Is there a better way to do this?”
• Helping establish, improve, and maintain CAD standards, templates, details, blocks, families, shortcuts, and workflows.
• Sharing CAD tricks, tips, and shortcuts with teammates—and stealing their best ones in return.
• Finding ways to make the team faster without sacrificing quality.
• Working independently when you’ve got it figured out and collaborating when the problem needs more brains around the table.
• Learning across a variety of project types and potentially expanding your experience into other market sectors throughout the studio.

• Has custom keyboard shortcuts for everything.
• Builds a better template because the old one bothered you.
• Knows there has to be a faster way—and refuses to stop until you find it.

• Can spot a bad detail from across the room.
• Enjoys figuring out how something is constructed.
• Loves learning a new software trick and immediately teaching someone else.
• Gets satisfaction from turning a complicated problem into a simple solution.

If you know what a CAD speed command is and think that sounds fun, we may have found our person.

WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON

Our primary work in this studio includes retail and private development, so you’ll have opportunities to work on projects where speed, accuracy, coordination, constructability, and attention to detail really matter.

But that’s not where your opportunities stop.

Our studio works across a broad range of markets. As you grow, your technical skills and curiosity may open doors to projects in other sectors as well.

That means you don’t have to choose between becoming a technical expert and getting broader architectural experience.

You can do both.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who brings a combination of technical ability, curiosity, and personality.

You probably have:

• Professional experience developing architectural drawings and construction documents.
• Strong AutoCAD skills and experience working with Bluebeam.
• A solid understanding of architectural documentation, construction methods, and how buildings come together.
• Confidence coordinating and communicating with consultants to keep projects moving smoothly.
• Strong spatial and 3D thinking skills, with the ability to visualize how drawings translate into built spaces.
• A thoughtful, detail-oriented approach to accuracy, organization, and documentation.
• A proactive mindset—you can take direction, ask thoughtful questions, and confidently carry work forward.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to balance multiple projects and priorities.
• Self-motivation and independence, while knowing when to connect with the team, ask questions, or seek input.
• A collaborative communication style and a genuine interest in contributing to a positive team environment.
• Experience with code studies, including navigating ADA requirements and the IBC.
• Experience documenting existing conditions and developing accurate as-built drawings.
• Curiosity and a willingness to keep learning, grow your skills, and find better ways to work.

Even better if you:

• Consider yourself a CAD power user.
• Have Revit/BIM experience
• Enjoy creating shortcuts, templates, standards, blocks, families, or other tools that make the team more efficient.
• Have experience in retail, commercial, or private development.
• Understand construction detailing and constructability.
• Enjoy mentoring teammates or sharing technical knowledge.
• Are curious about architecture beyond simply producing drawings.

Degree and years of experience matter—but they aren’t the whole story.

We’re much more interested in what you can do, how you think, how curious you are, and whether you genuinely enjoy the work.
