Job Title: Floor ManagerLocation: Village Tavern – Salem, MAJob Type: Full-TimeSalary: $22.00–$30.00 per hour, based on experienceFloor Manager – Village Tavern, Salem MAVillage Tavern is seeking a strong, hospitality-driven Floor Manager to help lead daily front-of-house operations at our busy full-service restaurant in Salem, Massachusetts. We are looking for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, leads by example, and takes pride in delivering great guest experiences while supporting and developing the service team.The Floor Manager plays a key role in overseeing service, maintaining standards, supporting staff, and ensuring smooth communication between the front and back of house.ResponsibilitiesOversee daily dining room and bar floor operationsLead and support servers, bartenders, hosts, bussers, food runners, and support staffEnsure guests receive friendly, attentive, and efficient serviceHandle guest concerns professionally and resolve issues in real timeHelp manage service flow, table turns, seating, and overall floor organizationMaintain cleanliness, appearance, and organization of all front-of-house areasCommunicate clearly with the kitchen and management team throughout serviceAssist with staff training, coaching, and accountabilitySupport opening and closing proceduresMonitor staff performance and uphold service standards, policies, and professionalismStep in wherever needed during busy shifts to support operationsHelp create a positive, team-oriented work environmentQualificationsPrevious restaurant management or supervisory experience preferredStrong knowledge of full-service restaurant operationsExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to stay calm, organized, and effective in a high-volume settingStrong guest service instincts and problem-solving abilityProfessional, reliable, and hands-on approachAbility to work nights, weekends, and holidays as neededExperience with POS systems and restaurant scheduling is a plusWhat We’re Looking ForA manager who leads from the floor, not from the officeSomeone who is highly visible, approachable, and engaged with both staff and guestsA team player who can hold standards while still building moraleA hospitality-focused leader who understands the importance of consistency, urgency, and guest satisfactionCompensation & ScheduleFull-time position$55,000–$70,000 annually, depending on experienceDays, nights, weekends, and holiday availability required (but not always scheduled) Requirements: 2 years of experience Leadership skills Food cost, Inventory control, and labor control Customer service oriented TIPs certified and allergen awareness certificate POS experience Bar knowledge considered an asset Budgeting and payroll cost experience is considered an asset TEAMWORK and a GREAT attitude are required!
