The Cardiac Sonographer Intern plays a key role in providing the highest quality of patient care while the patient is at Union Health.
Union Hospital's Cardiovascular Testing department is equipped with advanced technology and trained staff to assist your Cardiologist in assessing your condition and treating you appropriately. Our staff consists of trained EKG technologists and Registered Sonographers who aide the physicians in providing the best care possible to our customers. We perform diagnostic exams for patients ranging from neonatal to a geriatric level.

Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Works under the direction of the Registered Cardiac Sonographer to perform tasks.
- Demonstrates basic knowledge of health and safety.
- Demonstrates appropriate conduct and positive attitude.
- Applies knowledge of basic clerical skills.
- Demonstrates knowledge of hospital policy and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Must be enrolled in an accredited Associates or Bachelors Degree for Cardiac Sonographer Program leading to degree.
- Current enrollment with successful progression towards degree is required for continued employment with a RDCS or RCS registry obtained within 3months of program completion.
- Healthcare provider BLS level CPR with the American Heart Association
