As Senior Manager, Software Engineering, you will lead the design, development, and evolution of a highly scalable enterprise platform serving complex business needs.
You will combine hands-on technical leadership with people management, guiding engineering teams responsible for distributed systems, web technologies, and data-intensive architectures.
The role offers significant influence over technical direction, architecture, engineering standards, and technology investment decisions.
You will also drive the adoption of AI-assisted development and intelligent platform capabilities while establishing responsible practices around security, governance, and data privacy.
Working closely with Product, Architecture, Data, AI, and engineering stakeholders, you will turn strategic priorities into reliable, high-quality technology.
You will build and develop high-performing teams while improving engineering velocity, operational excellence, and technical maturity.

- Lead the end-to-end delivery of platform components, overseeing architecture, development, release, optimization, and ongoing improvement.
- Provide technical direction across distributed, multi-threaded, web-based, and data-intensive systems, challenging technical decisions and elevating engineering standards.
- Maintain hands-on technical engagement through architecture and design reviews, debugging, technical problem-solving, and evaluation of complex engineering challenges.
- Establish high standards for code quality, automated testing, performance, scalability, reliability, security, and maintainability.
- Identify and remove technical and organizational bottlenecks to improve engineering productivity, delivery velocity, and execution.
- Drive AI enablement across engineering teams through AI-assisted development tools, modern frameworks, automation, and AI-powered platform capabilities.
- Partner with Data and AI teams to integrate models, APIs, and intelligent workflows into enterprise platform capabilities.
- Establish responsible AI development practices covering security, governance, privacy, data protection, and appropriate technology usage.
- Upskill engineering teams on modern development methodologies, AI tools, and emerging technologies while measuring their impact on productivity and quality.
- Own roadmap execution, maintaining accountability for timelines, quality, technical outcomes, and business priorities.
- Balance delivery speed with platform stability, making informed trade-offs between technical excellence, risk, scalability, and business needs.
- Ensure strong observability, monitoring, performance optimization, reliability, and operational excellence across the platform.
- Use engineering metrics, retrospectives, and postmortems to drive continuous improvement and strengthen scalability, reliability, and security.
- Collaborate with Product Management, Architecture, Data, AI, and other engineering teams to align technical execution with organizational priorities.
- Communicate technical strategy, risks, progress, and key decisions clearly to technical stakeholders and executive leadership.
- Influence platform strategy, architecture direction, and technology investment decisions.
- Build, lead, and scale high-performing software engineering teams, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and organizational development.
- Coach engineers and emerging leaders, establishing clear expectations and creating opportunities for professional and leadership growth.
- Foster a culture centered on ownership, innovation, accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including work with complex and distributed systems.
- 5+ years of experience leading software engineering teams, with experience managing managers considered an advantage.
- Strong technical expertise across modern web technologies, backend systems, distributed architectures, and scalable software platforms.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise-grade platforms or SaaS products in complex technical environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical and organizational transformation while improving engineering maturity and execution.
- Experience implementing AI enablement initiatives within engineering organizations or integrating AI capabilities into software products.
- Strong technical judgment and systems-thinking skills, with the confidence to challenge assumptions and improve engineering decisions.
- Demonstrated success building and scaling high-performing engineering organizations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to navigate complex, fast-moving environments with competing priorities.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with engineers, technical leaders, business stakeholders, and executives.
- Decisive, action-oriented leadership style with strong ownership and execution capabilities.

- Familiarity with AI/ML integration, modern developer tooling, automation frameworks, and high-performance data-intensive applications is preferred.
- Experience with financial platforms, enterprise analytics, CPM/EPM environments, or similar business-critical systems is advantageous.
- Experience with the relevant enterprise platform ecosystem is a plus.
- Ability to travel approximately 20% as required.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Competitive annual base salary of $173,000–$225,000 USD.
