This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Sales Consultant – Inside Sales based in the United States.

This is a fully remote, full-time sales opportunity focused on accelerating growth within the Paid Family and Medical Leave (PFML) market.
You will build and manage a strong pipeline by partnering with brokers, producers, employers, and prospects across employee benefits and property & casualty markets.
The role combines high-volume outbound sales, consultative relationship building, market education, and strategic opportunity development.
You will work closely with underwriting and sales support teams to deliver accurate, competitive proposals and move opportunities efficiently from quote to close.
Success requires a strong understanding of insurance distribution, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate customer needs into compelling solutions.
You will also help broker partners understand PFML legislation, product positioning, and market dynamics while identifying opportunities for growth.
This role is well suited to a motivated, target-driven sales professional who thrives in a fast-paced, relationship-focused environment.

Accountabilities
  • Source and develop new PFML sales opportunities through brokers, producers, employers, prospects, and other distribution partners while maintaining a healthy and active pipeline.
  • Conduct a minimum of 30 outbound sales activities per day through phone calls, email campaigns, virtual meetings, and other prospecting channels.
  • Build and strengthen relationships with employee benefits and property & casualty producers, serving as a trusted resource throughout the sales cycle.
  • Educate broker partners and employer audiences through virtual webinars, presentations, and educational sessions on PFML legislation, product features, underwriting requirements, and market positioning.
  • Review and qualify RFPs, collect required information, and coordinate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate quoting.
  • Partner with Sales Support Specialists to deliver proposals, maintain broker communication, coordinate follow-ups, and create a seamless buying experience.
  • Collaborate closely with Underwriting to provide complete and accurate submissions and support competitive, timely proposal development.
  • Drive quote-to-close conversion through consistent follow-up, opportunity management, and proactive broker engagement.
  • Work with external sales counterparts to maximize market coverage and deliver a coordinated experience to broker partners.
  • Achieve individual and team sales objectives while positioning solutions within established profitability guidelines.
  • Use Salesforce, sales intelligence platforms, and market data to identify opportunities, prioritize outreach, and improve pipeline development.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including broker interactions, pipeline activity, call logs, opportunity status, and relevant notes.
  • Monitor state-specific PFML regulatory developments to support accurate, compliant product positioning and sales conversations.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience required.
  • At least 5 years of insurance sales experience, preferably within employee benefits.
  • Active Life & Health insurance license required.
  • Strong understanding of insurance products, broker distribution models, and competitive market dynamics.
  • Proven experience in high-volume outbound sales and a strong professional phone presence.
  • Experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform for pipeline and opportunity management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong listening, presentation, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand customer and broker business challenges and position relevant solutions effectively.
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented approach with a consistent track record of pursuing and exceeding sales objectives.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a high-activity environment.
  • Ability to build credibility and communicate effectively with brokers, producers, employers, underwriting teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Strong follow-through and attention to detail, particularly when managing RFPs, submissions, proposals, and sales documentation.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing market conditions, regulatory requirements, and customer needs.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote environment while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
Benefits
  • Fully remote, work-from-home position.
  • Base salary of $65,000 annually.
  • Eligibility for a Sales Incentive Plan, with target annual incentive compensation currently estimated at $85,000–$130,000, depending on individual performance and applicable plan terms.
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance.
  • Mental health benefits and Employee Assistance Program.
  • Paid time off and paid parental leave.
  • Short-term disability coverage and a cultural observance day.
  • Contributions toward eligible healthcare accounts.
  • Pension plan and 401(k) plan with company matching.
  • Wellness program offering opportunities to earn cash rewards.
  • Supportive environment focused on employee wellbeing, inclusion, professional growth, and work-life balance.
  • Benefits eligibility may vary according to position and applicable plan terms.
