Commercial Loan Credit Analyst
Role:
To assist Business Relationship Manager-Business Department in meeting Credit Union needs for business members; credit analysis, underwriting, loan reviews and maintenance of business loan file; monitoring and tracking Loan covenants; other related tasks as assigned.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare cash flow analysis and analyze current financial position of existing and new business members, determining the degree of risk involved in extending credit or lending money.
- Prepares business writeups for new and existing loan relationships to be reviewed by necessary approval authorities. Monitors existing business portfolios to protect Credit Union policies and compliance standards, including individual credit file reviews.
- Provides and maintains reporting requirements on Credit Union business members' credit obligations.
- Provide member service - open business deposit accounts, assist in answering basic business member loan questions, referrals to Merchant Card, Remote Deposit Capture and Consumer.
- Provides computer support, including data entry, in the maintenance of the loan systems.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Performance Measurements:
- Develop and maintain knowledge and ability to understand and evaluate financial and quantitative concepts and data.
- Accurately collect, analyze, and interpret financial data and credit reports.
- To maintain knowledge of all products and rates, both within the credit union and from the industry overall.
- To ensure that all loans approved comply with established loan standards.
- Identify cross-sell opportunities and cross-sells services to members.
Physical Requirements:
Orientation: This position primarily requires sitting and walking.
Standing: the ability to stand for an extensive amount of time.
Talking: The ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word to communicate information to members and coworkers.
Hearing/Listening: The ability to perceive and react to the nature of sounds by ear.
Lifting: The ability to occasionally lift/lower objects of between 10 and 25 pounds. Reasonable accommodations to these requirements will be made for employees with disabilities.
Work Environment: Works in a typical office environment, Lighting and temperature levels will be moderate, and noise levels are generally quiet.
