Job Description

Why join PCM? Build what comes next.

PEP Construction Management (PCM) is a specialist engineering and construction delivery business focused on utility scale energy and power infrastructure projects across Australia. We are a wholly owned subsidiary of Private Energy Partners (PEP), established to deliver large, complex balance of plant and integrated construction scopes across battery energy storage, renewable generation, grid and data-related infrastructure.

PCM is a key delivery partner for Quinbrooks’s long-term pipeline of major energy infrastructure projects in Australia, including the Supernode Stage 3 project in Queensland (currently under construction). This offers a rare opportunity to join a business on an exciting growth trajectory and help shape the future of project delivery across Australia's energy transition.

Quality and Completions Lead/Principal

Lead and manage quality, completions and project assurance across major energy infrastructure projects

Quality & Completions Leadership | Utility-Scale Energy Infrastructure

PCM is seeking an experienced Quality and Completions leader to lead the quality assurance, quality control and completions function across a major project or portfolio of projects.

This role provides an opportunity to establish quality standards, manage project quality systems and drive a right first-time approach across complex, multi-disciplinary construction environments. You will work closely with project leadership, subcontractors, consultants and client representatives to ensure works are delivered in accordance with contract requirements, specifications and applicable standards.

About the role

As Quality and Completions, you will be the project's quality authority and provide leadership across all quality, inspection, testing, completions and handover activities.

You will:

  • Lead the project Quality and Completions team and establish quality expectations across all work fronts.
  • Own and implement the Project Quality Management Plan and associated procedures.
  • Establish and oversee project inspection and test regimes, including ITP review and approval.
  • Lead quality audits, surveillance activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Manage non-conformance reporting, corrective actions and trend analysis.
  • Oversee completions management systems, including ITRs, punch lists and system handover requirements.
  • Drive planning and tracking of commissioning, walkdowns and project close-out activities.
  • Ensure MDRs, test packs, as-built documentation and handover records are complete and audit ready.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier quality performance through inspections, surveillance and documentation reviews.
  • Act as PCM's primary quality interface with client representatives during audits, inspections and handovers.
  • Provide regular reporting on quality performance, risks and project KPIs to leadership.
  • Foster a proactive, prevention-focused quality culture across the project.

About you

You are a quality-focused engineering professional who combines technical expertise with practical construction delivery experience. You understand the importance of balancing quality compliance with project outcomes and can lead teams to deliver both.

You will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, Quality Management or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience leading QA/QC functions on major infrastructure, energy or industrial construction projects.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and project quality frameworks.
  • Experience managing audits, inspections, ITPs, NCRs and corrective action programs and associated documentation.
  • Knowledge of commissioning, completions and project handover processes.
  • Experience managing subcontractor and supplier quality requirements.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop project teams.
  • High attention to detail and strong documentation and traceability discipline.

What we offer

  • Competitive remuneration package with project site allowances
  • Long-term project opportunities across major energy infrastructure developments.
  • A collaborative, delivery-focused EPC team environment.
  • Career development and leadership opportunities as PCM continues to grow.
  • The opportunity to shape quality systems, standards and project delivery excellence.
