FARM & FIREWOOD WORKING FOREMAN - $28/HR + FAMILY MEDICAL OFFERED
FIREWOOD HAWAII | Waimanalo, HI
Enjoy working outdoors, operating equipment, and leading a small crew? Firewood Hawaii is hiring a hands-on Working Foreman to lead our farm and firewood operations.
You will work directly with the Manager and lead 2-3 workers, producing firewood, preparing orders, and keeping the farm safe and organized.
Pay & Schedule
- $28 per hour with weekly pay
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM
- Full-time position
- Report directly to the farm in Waimanalo each workday

What You’ll Do
- Work with the Manager to carry out the daily production and delivery schedule.
- Lead, train, and work alongside 2-3 workers to cut, split, stack, package, and load firewood and charcoal.
- Give clear assignments and keep the crew on track for safe, productive work.
- Operate chainsaws, log splitters, shredders, and equipment such as excavators, skid steers, and forklifts, following training and authorization requirements.
- Perform daily equipment checks and routine care; promptly report maintenance needs.
- Help maintain farm roadways, vegetation, stockpiles, and work areas.
- Track inventory and complete simple daily production and inventory reports.
- Keep tools, equipment, and the yard clean, organized, and secure.
- Communicate progress, staffing needs, and problems directly to the Manager.
Who We’re Looking For
Someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, takes pride in a productive day, and can lead by example.
- At least 1 year of crew lead, foreman, or similar leadership experience
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving abstract
- Dependable attendance and good communication skills
- Chainsaw and equipment experience preferred; willingness to complete training required
- Basic smartphone and computer skills; training provided for reporting and inventory systems
- Experience in firewood, tree work, landscaping, farming, demolition, or construction is helpful
Physical Requirements
This is an active outdoor position requiring standing, walking, bending, and regularly lifting and carrying wood weighing up to 80 lbs. Safe work practices and required protective equipment are part of every workday.
