Lab Technician III in Rancho Cordova, California at AMPAC Fine Chemicals

The Lab Technician III will provide analytical chemistry support to multiple projects in accordance with company SOPs and protocols following GMP guidelines to support plant operations. Works under limited supervision. This position is NOT hybrid or remote and is located at our El Dorado Hills, CA Laboratory location.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Clean laboratory and glassware.
• Dispose of inert and hazardous wastes.
• Stock laboratory consumables.
• Maintain inventory of chemical reagents.
• Perform routine instrument cleaning and logbook verification.
• Assist with quality assessment of packaging materials and basic consumables such as measuring physical dimensions, counting, and inspecting for visible debris/damage.
• Perform sample log-in and notifications.
• Perform ordering.
• Responsible for collaborating on inventory and/or cleaning process improvements.
• May direct other laboratory technicians in day-to-day duties.
• May perform data scanning, filing, and trending.
• Develop improvements to laboratory support procedures.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• GED, HS Diploma required, BS degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, or related field preferred.
• 5 or more years of industry related experience (with GED or HS Diploma).
• 0-1 years with BS degree.

• High level of regard towards lab safety and data integrity.
