Job Description

Description:

The Role

Longacre Asset Management is hiring a Compliance Administrator to keep our residential portfolio in good standing with the agencies that regulate it. You track every open violation and required filing across the portfolio, drive them to closure, stay ahead of inspection and local-law deadlines, and take on new compliance requirements as they come up. The work is mostly in New York City today and will reach other parts of New York and new markets as we grow.

Requirements:

What You'll Do

• Clear HPD violations and complaints; keep property and owner registrations and annual filings current (bedbug, window guard, lead/LL31, heat and hot water); file certifications of correction and dismissal requests.

• Track every open violation and filing across HPD, DOB, ECB/OATH, FDNY, DEP, DOHMH, and DSNY in one dashboard, from issuance to dismissal; check DOB NOW, HPD Online, and ECB/OATH daily.

• Stay ahead of the inspection cycles: boiler, elevator (Category 1 & 5), façade (LL11), gas (LL152), parking (LL126), and cooling tower (LL77) where we have one.

• Keep the energy filings current: benchmarking (LL84), energy grade (LL33), audit (LL87), and emissions (LL97).

• File self-certifications and certifications of correction; bring in engineers or expediters when a filing needs a licensed sign-off.

• Keep utility and local obligations current — DEP water and sewer, DSNY, and municipal permits, registrations, and inspections.

• Run ECB/OATH hearings: track dates, prepare the file, and represent us or hand it to counsel.

• Cover compliance beyond NYC as we expand, learning each jurisdiction's rules and building them into the tracking system.

• Report open and overdue items to management on a set schedule, and keep clean records for each building.

What You Need

• 3+ years in NYC property compliance, violations, or expediting.

• Working knowledge of HPD, DOB, ECB/OATH, FDNY, DEP, DOHMH, and DSNY, and of the local laws (LL11, LL31, LL84, LL87/88, LL97, LL126, LL152).

• Hands-on with DOB NOW, HPD Online, and ECB/OATH filing.

• Able to learn a new jurisdiction's rules and turn them into a repeatable process.

• Organized enough to run a high volume of deadlines across many buildings without dropping one.

• Clear communicator with agencies, vendors, counsel, and staff.

• Excel and Office; Yardi a plus.

• Works independently and stays steady under deadline pressure.

Preferred

• A degree, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Experience at a NYC multifamily owner, property manager, or expediting firm.

• Existing relationships with agency staff, expediters, or violation-removal counsel.
