About the Role:

As a Bowling Attendant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that guests have a safe, enjoyable, and seamless bowling experience. You will be responsible for managing the bowling lanes, assisting customers with equipment, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the facility. Your role involves providing excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and fostering a welcoming environment. You will also oversee the operation of bowling equipment and scoring systems to ensure smooth gameplay. Ultimately, your efforts will contribute to creating a fun and memorable atmosphere that encourages repeat visits and positive word-of-mouth for the bowling center.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic customer service experience.
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a recreational or entertainment environment.
  • Familiarity with bowling equipment and scoring systems.
  • Basic knowledge of safety and sanitation standards.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and operate point-of-sale systems.
  • First aid or CPR certification.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and assist guests upon arrival, providing information about lane availability, pricing, and bowling rules.
  • Set up bowling lanes by arranging pins, ensuring balls are properly maintained, and managing scoring systems.
  • Monitor lane usage and assist customers with ball selection, shoe rental, and any equipment needs.
  • Maintain cleanliness and safety standards throughout the bowling area, including lanes, seating, and common spaces.
  • Maintain the beverage area of the bowling alley including stocking and point of sale transactions.
  • Address and resolve customer concerns or complaints promptly and professionally to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Coordinate with other staff members to manage peak times and special events efficiently.
  • Perform routine checks and minor maintenance on bowling equipment to prevent disruptions during play.

The required skills such as strong communication and customer service abilities are essential for interacting effectively with guests and ensuring their needs are met promptly. Physical stamina and attention to detail help in managing the bowling lanes and maintaining a safe environment.
