About the Role:

The ELL/LEP/Reading specialist plays a critical role in supporting English Language Learners (ELL) and Limited English Proficient (LEP) students to achieve academic success through targeted reading instruction and language development. This position focuses on assessing students' language proficiency and literacy skills to design and implement effective instructional strategies tailored to diverse learning needs. Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, TESOL, Reading, Linguistics, or a related field.
• Valid teaching certification with endorsement or specialization in English as a Second Language (ESL), Bilingual Education, or Reading.
• Demonstrated experience working with ELL/LEP students in an educational setting.
• Strong knowledge of language acquisition theories, reading instruction methodologies, and assessment tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in TESOL, Reading, Literacy Education, or a related discipline.
• Experience with culturally responsive teaching practices and differentiated instruction.
• Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to ELL/LEP education and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in multiple languages or experience working in multilingual educational environments.
• Training or certification in specialized reading programs such as Orton-Gillingham or Wilson Reading System.
