Oncology – Business Manager in Lumberton, North Carolina at Southeastern Health

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Oncology Business Manager provides operational leadership for the financial and business functions of the oncology service line. This role is accountable for ensuring fiscal integrity, operational efficiency, and sustainable growth through effective financial management, performance monitoring, and crossfunctional collaboration. The Oncology Business Manager leads the prior authorization function and has overall responsibility for ensuring accurate charge capture and timely collections across oncology accounts. In close partnership with Revenue Cycle leadership, this role identifies denial trends and implements corrective and preventive actions to optimize reimbursement and reduce future denials.

EDUCATION, CREDENTIALS, TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:

Minimum Required:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, healthcare administration or related area

Demonstrated understanding of prior authorization processes

Demonstrated understanding of revenue cycle

Demonstrated understanding of report building and metric monitoring in EPIC or similar software

Preferred:

Masters’s degree in finance, business administration, healthcare administration or related area

3 years of oncology experience.

Experience with electronic medical record software, Epic or similar

2 years of experience with HB and PB accounts

ADDITIONAL SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS:

Ability to develop and document standard work processes

Ability to communicate in a clear and concise manner

Ability to analyze cost vs reimbursement for establishing new services
