Firewall & Network Security Engineer (m/f/d) in Cluj-Napoca, Cluj at Skaylink

Ready to secure critical network environments?

Join our infrastructure team and take ownership of firewall and network security solutions that protect customer environments. You'll work with leading security technologies, analyze threats, optimize firewall configurations, and ensure secure and reliable operations across enterprise infrastructures.

This role is based in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, with the possibility of hybrid or remote work.

• Manage and maintain enterprise firewall platforms with a focus on network security.
• Configure and optimize firewall policies, rules, NAT, and security configurations.
• Work with security technologies including Fortinet and Cisco solutions.
• Analyze firewall logs, investigate incidents, and identify security improvements.
• Monitor firewall performance and support vulnerability remediation activities.
• Act as a security expert during customer incidents and infrastructure projects.

Mandatory requirements:

• 5 years of hands-on experience in network security or a similar role.
• Strong experience with enterprise firewalls and security concepts.
• Hands-on knowledge of Fortinet and/or Cisco security solutions.
• Experience with firewall policies, troubleshooting, and security analysis.
• Structured and analytical approach with strong problem-solving skills.
• Fluency in English and German.

Nice to have:

• Fortinet certifications (NSE/FCP)
• Experience with VPN technologies
• Security monitoring experience
