District Manager in Tampa, Florida at Bubble Down Car Wash

Job Description
We’re on a mission to build the best car wash operation in Florida — and we’re looking for a leader hungry to own it.
We’re scaling from 8 to 30+ locations, and growth like that is earned through relentless execution, accountable leaders, and a standard that holds everywhere. This is one of the most exciting chapters in our company’s story, and this role sits right at the center of it.
This role owns multi-site performance. You’re responsible for up to 10 sites performing at a premium level across operations, people, and profitability. Head Office sets the standard; you bring it to life across every site in your district — and you’ll have real influence over how we operate as we scale.
You won’t do it alone. You’ll work inside a clear operating structure — partnering with a District HR Manager who owns recruiting, training, and people systems, and alongside maintenance leadership who own asset uptime. You own the field outcome; they own the infrastructure behind it. That partnership is by design, and it’s what lets great operators do their best work here.
This is a role for someone who takes ownership, moves fast, and gets results through people. If that’s you, you’ll do the best work of your career here — with the standard, the structure, and the runway to grow as we expand across Florida.
You’ll report directly to the COO.
Performance & Execution
Drive operational excellence, customer experience, and profitability (NOI) across every assigned site
Spot what’s holding a site back and drive it to resolution — fast
Build the discipline that keeps issues from coming back
Leadership & Team Performance
Coach, lead, and hold Site Managers strictly accountable for performance and professionalism
Own retention, stability, and team effectiveness across your district
Drive timely, well-documented recommendations on hiring, advancement, and termination — with cross-functional alignment and final approval per company standard
Partner with the District HR Manager, who owns recruiting, workforce planning, and training systems; you own the field outcome, not the people machinery
Address underperformance early and document it thoroughly
Labor & Financial Ownership
Control labor, scheduling, and expenses to protect site profitability
Drive alignment to labor targets and eliminate avoidable overtime — within the pay period, not after
Hold Site Managers accountable for labor and expense performance
Operational Discipline
Uphold company standards consistently across every site
Make sure training sticks — reinforced in the field, not just completed on paper
Deliver a consistent, premium standard everywhere
Maintenance & Uptime
Partner with maintenance leadership to keep preventative maintenance on schedule and eliminate recurring equipment failures and preventable downtime
Customer Experience & Brand
Ensure a uniform, high-quality experience across all sites
Read complaints, damage trends, and service data as early signals — and act early
Confirm promotions and marketing are executed correctly in the field
Field Presence
Conduct structured weekly visits to each site — arrive prepared, verify standards, document findings, and drive accountability
What You Bring
5+ years leading multiple sites simultaneously (car wash, retail, service, QSR, fitness, automotive, or similar high-volume hourly operations)
A demonstrated track record improving site-level performance — labor, NOI, retention, or customer metrics — across more than one location
Comfort holding leaders to a high bar; you prioritize clarity and direct feedback over consensus
A bias for action: you solve problems at the source instead of escalating them
Strong financial literacy across labor, P&L, and staffing outcomes
Proficiency with standard business and operational software (Microsoft Office or similar)
The Role Day-to-Day
This is a field-based role covering sites across the greater Tampa Bay region — including Clearwater, Spring Hill, Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, and surrounding areas — with territory expanding rapidly as we grow
Significant local and regional travel is expected; a valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, insurance, and a clean driving record are required
Car wash operations run early mornings, weekends, holidays, and in all weather — flexibility is part of the job
Requirements:Physical Requirements
Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions and to be on your feet for extended periods
Ability to move across uneven terrain and site equipment areas, and to bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs as needed
Ability to stay alert and respond quickly in an active operational environment
Compensation & Benefits
Base salary of $80,000–$90,000, plus a performance bonus tied to a share of your district's NOI; total target compensation of $95,000–$120,000
Medical, dental, and vision coverage
401(k) with company match
Paid time off
Why This Role
Direct ownership of performance across multiple locations, at the exact moment we scale
A high-impact seat in a company scaling aggressively across Florida
A clear operating structure with defined Ops, Talent, and Maintenance partnership
Real room to grow into broader leadership as we expand across Florida!
