Learning Designer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Learning Designer based in Canada.

This role offers the opportunity to design impactful learning experiences that help clients successfully adopt and maximize the value of innovative software solutions.
The Learning Designer will create engaging training content, activities, and resources that transform complex technical information into clear and effective learning experiences.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, implementation, and service delivery specialists, to support customer success.
The position combines instructional design expertise, creativity, and technology to improve how users learn and interact with digital platforms.
This fully remote opportunity provides flexibility while offering the chance to contribute to projects that support organizations across North America.

Accountabilities

The Learning Designer will be responsible for developing engaging learning solutions that support successful software adoption and user enablement. Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and creating effective training materials, activities, assessments, and learning resources for clients.
  • Transforming technical documentation and product information into clear, engaging instructional content.
  • Supporting clients throughout their implementation journey by providing learning experiences that improve product understanding and adoption.
  • Collaborating with Learning Design team members and internal stakeholders, including product development, user interface, and service delivery teams.
  • Creating onboarding and training content to support internal employee learning initiatives.
  • Participating in brainstorming sessions and contributing ideas to improve e-learning strategies and learning programs.
  • Developing creative learning artifacts using digital tools and instructional design best practices.
  • Continuously evaluating and improving training approaches to enhance learner engagement and effectiveness.
Requirements:

The ideal candidate is a creative and detail-oriented learning professional with experience designing training solutions for software products and adult learners. Required qualifications and skills include:

  • 2+ years of experience creating high-quality training materials for software applications or digital products.
  • Certificate, diploma, or equivalent education specializing in instructional design, adult learning, curriculum development, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of instructional design principles and the ability to create engaging learning experiences.
  • Experience using tools such as Adobe products, Zoom, Pages, Keynote, or similar platforms to develop training content.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts and communicate information clearly to diverse audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated curiosity, adaptability, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Experience in SaaS, software implementation, or the utility sector is considered an asset but is not required.
