Now Hiring: Packaging Operator |1st Shift
Shift/Schedule: Monday - Friday |8 am - 4 pm with rotating weekends

Position Overview:

Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the primary function of the Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is to support the daily operations of the shipping office in addition to providing administrative support to a variety of supply chain departments and other assigned production teams. This individual is a point of contact to drivers and must ensure a positive image of the company while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide a professional and welcoming experience for all visitors while ensuring compliance with visitor agreements, GMP, safety, and security protocols.
  • Communicate with drivers and carriers via telephone, electronic systems, or in person to verify documentation, respond to inquiries, and resolve issues.
  • Accurately record, review, and maintain shipment information, including weights, charges, damages, shortages, and discrepancies.
  • Coordinate with carrier representatives to schedule shipments, issue instructions, and resolve delivery, damage, or shortage concerns.
  • Create, update, and manage shipping transactions within the ERP system; monitor exceptions and communicate changes or discrepancies to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Support inventory-related inquiries and adjustments in collaboration with customer service and inventory management teams.
  • Receive incoming goods, inspect for accuracy and damage, and coordinate with suppliers regarding any issues.
  • Coordinate and support forklift loading and unloading activities to ensure safe and efficient material movement.
  • Operate forklifts, storage and retrieval systems, and transportation management systems in accordance with operational needs.
  • Manage and maintain third-party warehousing communications for assigned responsibilities.
  • Provide administrative and technical support to logistics and supply chain functions, including reporting, correspondence, spreadsheet preparation, presentation development, and document tracking.
  • Research and compile data to support departmental projects, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with Quality Policy, GFSI standards, Good Manufacturing Practices, corporate safety standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
  • Provide warehouse and operational support as needed to meet business demands.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Requirements:

  • High school diploma or commensurate experience required.
  • Minimum one year of shipping and receiving experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong customer service orientation with the ability to build positive working relationships across all levels of the organization.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills for interacting with customers, drivers, and internal teams.
  • Ability to verify shipment accuracy by reviewing bills of lading, invoices, and related documentation.
  • Experience preparing shipping and logistics documents, including bills of lading and work orders.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong interpersonal and active listening skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word.
  • Ability to interpret and apply administrative and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Working knowledge of common computer applications.
  • Intermediate mathematical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze issues and implement effective solutions.
