Job Description:

The Warehouse Team Member is responsible for supporting daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, product verification, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. This role operates material handling equipment and serves as a key checkpoint for raw materials and finished goods entering and leaving the facility to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and inventory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Shipping & Receiving: Receive inbound shipments and verify product quantities, lot numbers, temperatures, and documentation. Inspect incoming materials and products for visible damage, contamination, or discrepancies. Prepare and load outbound shipments according to customer and company requirements. Complete shipping and receiving documentation accurately and timely. Coordinate with drivers, carriers, and warehouse team during deliveries and pickups.
• Inventory & Product Control: Maintain inventory accuracy through proper product handling and inventory transactions. Rotate inventory using FIFO procedures. Properly identify, label, and store products within designated warehouse locations. Participate in cycle counts and physical inventory audits. Report inventory discrepancies or product concerns to supervision.
• Production Support & Product Gatekeeping: Verify raw materials, packaging, and ingredients received meet company specifications before release to production. Ensure required documentation, lot coding, labeling, and traceability records are complete and accurate. Stage materials for production according to schedules and production requirements. Communicate any quality, inventory, or receiving concerns to QA, Production, or Warehouse leadership. Prevent unauthorized or non-conforming materials from entering production.
• Forklift & Equipment Operation: Safely operate pallet riders, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and stand-up forklifts. Transport materials, products, and pallets throughout the warehouse, cooler, and production areas. Conduct daily equipment inspections and report any maintenance or safety concerns. Follow all forklift operating procedures and safety guidelines.
• Food Safety & Compliance: Follow all food safety, GMP, sanitation, and warehouse procedures. Ensure product integrity and cold-chain requirements are maintained. Maintain a clean and organized warehouse environment. Support food safety audits, inspections, and compliance initiatives.
• Safety & Teamwork: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures. Maintain awareness of pedestrian traffic, moving equipment, and warehouse hazards. Work collaboratively with Production, QA, Transportation, and Operations teams.
• Assist with special projects and other warehouse duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 year of warehouse, distribution, or food production experience preferred. Experience operating forklifts and other material handling equipment.
Skills:
• Ability to obtain or maintain forklift certification.
• Basic computer and documentation skills.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including overtime, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Experience in food manufacturing, produce, or refrigerated warehouse environments.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and warehouse management software.
• Understanding of GMP and food safety requirements.

Work Environment:

• Work is performed in warehouse, cooler, freezer, dock, and production support areas.
• Frequent exposure to refrigerated environments, including temperatures ranging from 34–38°F.
• Exposure to wet floors, warehouse traffic, forklifts, pallet jacks, and moving equipment.
• Required to follow all PPE guidelines when entering production or warehouse areas, which may include hairnets, beard nets, gloves, safety vests, and other required protective equipment.
• Closed-toe, slip-resistant safety footwear is required at all times.
• Regular interaction with production employees, QA personnel, truck drivers, and warehouse team.
• May require work during weekends, holidays, and peak production periods.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the warehouse and production areas for extended periods.
• Ability to safely operate pallet riders, reach trucks, sit-down forklifts, and stand-up forklifts for extended periods.
• Frequent bending, reaching, twisting, and climbing on and off material handling equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly and more with assistance or mechanical equipment.
• Ability to manually handle pallets, products, and packaging materials as required.
• Ability to work in cold, wet, and fast-paced environments.
• Visual ability to read product labels, inventory documents, scanner screens, and shipping paperwork.
• Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.
