This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Platform Engineer, Cloud Developer Experience based in the United States.
This is a high-impact Staff Engineer opportunity focused on shaping the developer experience for a globally distributed engineering organization.
You’ll own and evolve the systems that take code from source control through production, with a strong focus on modern CI/CD practices.
The role combines hands-on software development, platform engineering, and technical leadership across multiple engineering teams.
You’ll help advance progressive delivery, GitOps, canary deployments, automated rollbacks, and self-service developer workflows.
You’ll also contribute to Internal Developer Platform capabilities and embed AI-assisted tooling into software development workflows.
Working closely with senior engineers and engineering leaders, you’ll influence standards and practices across a large-scale cloud-native environment.

- Own and continuously evolve the CI/CD architecture and developer-facing delivery experience.
- Design, operate, and improve production-grade delivery infrastructure for a globally distributed engineering organization.
- Drive improvements in pipeline reliability, speed, scalability, and predictability.
- Define and maintain paved paths that enable product teams to ship quickly and safely without requiring deep platform expertise.
- Own the end-to-end software delivery lifecycle, from code merge through production deployment.
- Champion progressive delivery practices, including canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
- Build tooling and workflows that make deployments observable, repeatable, reliable, and self-service.
- Own and evolve the Internal Developer Portal and the surrounding self-service developer experience.
- Partner with cloud infrastructure teams while maintaining ownership of the developer-facing delivery layer.
- Lead cross-functional technical initiatives and influence engineering practices across teams and time zones.
- Develop production-quality tooling in Go and Python.
- Identify and embed AI-powered tools and workflows that generate sustainable improvements in engineering productivity, quality, and developer experience.
- Significant experience in Platform Engineering or Developer Experience, particularly in CI/CD, software delivery, or related domains.
- Experience working in organizations with several hundred or more engineers is strongly preferred.
- Proven experience owning and operating CI/CD platforms at the administrative and architectural level, including security, configuration, governance, and developer enablement.
- Demonstrated ability to design, scale, and operate reliable software delivery systems in production.
- Strong hands-on software engineering experience, including production-quality development in Go.
- Practical understanding of progressive delivery practices such as canary deployments and automated rollbacks.
- Familiarity with cloud-native architectures and Kubernetes-based platforms.
- Strong interest in applying AI tools to improve engineering velocity, software quality, and developer experience.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and technical influence skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior engineers and engineering leaders across multiple teams and time zones.
- Experience building or maintaining an Internal Developer Platform in production is a plus.
- Experience working across both Software Engineering and Platform Engineering teams is a plus.
- Interest in security and familiarity with concepts such as RBAC and OAuth are advantageous.
- Base compensation range of $223,100–$305,000 USD, depending on experience, expertise, and other relevant factors.
