Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified candidates for a Project Engineer.

Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest/Central US region. Our team welcomes individuals who are passionate about their work and committed to delivering quality workmanship with integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Provide support to the Project Manager and Superintendent on a variety of earthwork and general civil construction projects.
2. Monitor and track production quantities and project costs; report progress and variances to the Project Manager.
3. Conduct quality control throughout job site processes
4. Maintain project schedules by tracking progress, coordinating activities, and proactively addressing issues.
5. Coordinate subcontractor schedules and oversee quality of work to ensure compliance with project standards.
6. Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data, and making recommendations based on findings.
7. Assist with a broad range of project management responsibilities across earthwork, demolition, and civil construction projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Relevant construction experience; coursework or background in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field preferred.
2. Demonstrated ability to lead and collaborate effectively in challenging or fast-paced environments
3. Maintains a positive and professional attitude
4. Proven reliability, including initiative and consistent follow-through on responsibilities
5. Strong organizational skills with a high level of attention to detail
6. Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
7. Travel will be required for this position
