This is a senior product and transformation leadership opportunity focused on modernizing financial services through technology, innovation, and strong product execution.
You will help organizations navigate complex banking transformations, from strategy and discovery through delivery and adoption.
The role combines deep expertise in retail and commercial banking, payments, core banking, digital platforms, and regulated environments.
You will work closely with business leaders, compliance teams, engineers, consultants, and product stakeholders to turn complex needs into scalable solutions.
AI and emerging technologies will be central to the role, helping accelerate delivery, automate workflows, and improve product management practices.
You will operate at the intersection of traditional financial services and modern cloud, API, payments, and fintech ecosystems.
This is an onshore US role suited to an outcome-oriented product leader who can balance regulatory rigor with the pace of modern technology.
- Lead or drive end-to-end product delivery and transformation initiatives across banking and financial services, from discovery and requirements through execution and deployment.
- Define, manage, and communicate product requirements, roadmaps, priorities, and delivery plans for complex transformation programs.
- Serve as a strategic liaison between business stakeholders, compliance and legal teams, product leaders, consultants, and engineering squads to ensure high-quality outcomes.
- Guide clients and internal teams through retail and commercial banking modernization, including core banking transformation, digital banking, cloud-native architectures, open banking APIs, and legacy modernization.
- Shape modern payment solutions and workflows involving ACH, wire transfers, card networks, real-time payments, FedNow, Interac, ISO 20022, and cross-border payment ecosystems.
- Support product and technology initiatives within highly regulated financial services environments, ensuring appropriate consideration of risk, security, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
- Navigate relevant US and Canadian regulatory considerations, including frameworks and requirements associated with organizations such as the OCC, Federal Reserve, FinCEN, OSFI, and FCAC.
- Champion the practical use of Generative AI and large language models to improve product and delivery workflows, including PRD creation, user stories, data analysis, process mapping, and documentation.
- Identify and implement AI-enabled opportunities that reduce operational overhead, improve team productivity, and accelerate delivery timelines.
- Experiment with emerging AI and productivity technologies while maintaining appropriate standards for security, governance, quality, and responsible use.
- Work closely with consultants, experience practitioners, product teams, and engineering organizations to maintain an outcome-focused delivery approach.
- Contribute to sales and pre-sales activities by helping shape solutions, communicate value propositions, support client conversations, and translate technical capabilities into business outcomes.
- Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and communicate complex technical concepts to business leaders while translating business priorities into actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Take ownership beyond traditional role boundaries when necessary to ensure high-quality financial products and transformation outcomes are delivered successfully.
- 5–8+ years of relevant experience within management consulting, fintech, Tier-1/Tier-2 banking institutions, or comparable financial services environments.
- Demonstrated experience leading or making significant contributions to large-scale banking transformation, migration, modernization, or greenfield technology initiatives.
- Deep understanding of core banking, digital banking, wealth management, and/or broader financial services technology ecosystems.
- Strong knowledge of payments infrastructure, including ACH, wires, card networks, and next-generation or real-time payment systems.
- Familiarity with modern payment standards and ecosystems such as RTP, FedNow, Interac, ISO 20022, and cross-border payments; legacy payment gateway experience is a plus.
- Experience with modernizing legacy banking platforms and transitioning organizations toward cloud-based, cloud-native, or modern on-premises technologies.
- Strong understanding of highly regulated financial services environments, including risk management, security, compliance, and regulatory considerations.
- Experience working with relevant US or Canadian financial services regulatory frameworks is highly valuable.
- Proficiency with modern product and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, Linear, Miro, or comparable platforms.
- Practical, hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, or specialized product and engineering AI extensions to improve daily productivity and delivery workflows.
- Demonstrated ability to identify practical AI use cases and incorporate automation into product management and delivery processes.
- Excellent communication, storytelling, presentation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders.
- Strong sales and pre-sales acumen, with experience supporting client discussions, solution development, or business development activities.
- Ability to bridge business and technology effectively, translating complex business requirements into clear direction for engineering teams and technical concepts into meaningful business outcomes.
- Outcome-oriented mindset with a willingness to work across traditional product or project boundaries when required to deliver high-quality results.
- Ability to balance the risk-averse and highly regulated nature of financial services with the speed, experimentation, and innovation associated with modern technology and AI.
