Job Description

Position Title: Engineering Team Lead

Responsibilities Include:
  • Under direct supervision, the Engineering Team Lead/Technical Sales provides technical support to sales representatives to assist sales efforts, as well as supports the Engineering Manager developing technical talent.
  • Manage all aspects of the technical relationship with customers, collaborating with other internal teams as needed Work closely with sales personnel and management to develop account plans to meet business objectives.Provides high level of technical support and direction for customers, as well as sales personnel, and assists in building customer relationships to drive profitable revenue growth.Provide technical leadership in customer meetings including preparing technical support materials; presenting and explaining product capabilities, features and benefits; demonstrating products and developing solutions to meet customer requirements.
Additionally:
    Source and cold call new clients continually; conduct sales calls, including cold calls and lead and referral follow up to present solutions and increase sales.Identify and build relationships with decision makers within existing accounts, creating an on-going relationship strategy, cultivating partnering relationships, and establishing IHES as a trusted advisor.Review and provide input on target client opportunities while ensuring alignment with overall account strategyHandle operational concerns and issues with the customer as the single point of contact. Work collaboratively with the Engineering and Sales departments to improve customer solutions and operational feedback. Providing technical support to the sales and operations teams.Providing technical support to Customers; 24-hour on call rotation for a weeklong period as per group schedule. Conduct follow up with customers on orders, quotes and service requested; undertake activities to ensure the sale, such as sourcing of competitor information and analysis of competitor product offerings, application and pricing in order to overcome client objections.Develop proposals and prepare quotes based upon client needs, specifications and product offerings.Provide input on technical aspects for RFI/RFP responses. Must be able to analyze and understand the customer’s business problem and independently develop a proposal that articulates the features and benefits of working with IHES as a solution provider.Understand customer decision criteria to generate additional profitable sales growthMeet regularly with customers to uncover potential projects and work with management to ensure alignmentFacilitate post project reviews and post bid reviewsHe/she is responsible for providing thought leadership as it pertains to the technical aspects of proposed solutions for each individual customer.
Basic Qualifications:
    Skills are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in a related Science discipline (discipline may vary by domain) and a minimum of 4-6 years of progressive experience in the energy service industry.Candidates who have qualifications that exceed the minimum job requirements will receive consideration for higher-level roles give (1) their experience, (2) additional job requirements, and/or (3) business needs. Depending on education, experience, and skill level, a variety of job opportunities might be available.
Preferred Qualifications:
    Education in a relevant field (i.e. Engineering, Technologist), or equivalent technical experience.Work Experience: Pressure pumping and/or downhole coiled tubing tool experience considered strong assets.Strong interpersonal skills are essential.Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of presenting technical solutions to assist in closing sales.Must be a highly accountable self-starter with good organizational and analytical skills and ability to work in a team-oriented environment.Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.Strong ability to build relationships.Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed assigned targets and deadlines consistently.Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics and requirements.Competitive and entrepreneurial mindset.Strong ability to work within cohesive teams to target clients and get the saleAnalytical thinking and problem-solving skillsCapable of working independently with minimal directionProficiency: Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
