This is a high-impact commercial leadership role focused on driving strategic growth within the clinical research ecosystem, particularly around Institutional Review Board (IRB) and Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) services. You will operate at the intersection of sales, client strategy, and scientific research operations, acting as a trusted advisor to life sciences organizations. The role requires deep domain expertise and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across sponsors, CROs, and research institutions. You will lead strategic opportunities from early discovery through contract execution, shaping tailored solutions that address regulatory and ethical review challenges. This is a remote position with meaningful travel expectations and strong exposure to senior stakeholders in a highly specialized market. Your work will directly contribute to accelerating clinical trials and improving patient outcomes.
- Lead strategic sales efforts for IRB and IBC service offerings across new and existing accounts within the clinical research and life sciences sector
- Develop and expand long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including research institutions, sponsors, and operational leaders
- Own the full opportunity lifecycle, including discovery, solution design, proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiation
- Collaborate closely with internal commercial, operational, and delivery teams to ensure aligned and high-quality solution execution
- Conduct market and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and refine positioning of IRB and IBC services
- Drive new business development through proactive outreach, networking, conferences, and targeted prospecting
- Manage pipeline activity, accounts, and engagement tracking through CRM systems such as Salesforce
- Support field marketing initiatives, including events, webinars, and industry conferences to strengthen market presence
- 10+ years of experience in sales, business development, or account management within life sciences or clinical research services
- Strong expertise in IRB and IBC processes, regulatory frameworks, and human research protection environments
- Deep understanding of the clinical research ecosystem, including sponsors, CROs, and research institutions
- Proven ability to develop and execute strategic territory and account plans
- Strong consultative selling and relationship-building skills with senior-level stakeholders
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex solutions clearly
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce for pipeline and account management
- Strong business acumen with the ability to identify client needs and translate them into solutions
- Ability to work independently in a remote, fast-paced, and highly specialized environment
- Willingness to travel 25–50% as required
- Competitive base salary range ($80,000–$160,000) plus performance-based bonus eligibility
