Job Description

SEO Specialist

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a SEO Specialist based in Mexico.

As an SEO Specialist, you will take full ownership of organic search performance for a portfolio of high-growth automotive clients in a fully remote, performance-driven environment. This role goes beyond execution — it is designed for someone who thinks strategically, experiments continuously, and uses data to drive real ranking improvements. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including content creators, designers, and developers to deliver measurable SEO impact across multiple websites. Your work will directly influence organic traffic growth, local search visibility, and long-term digital performance. The environment encourages curiosity, testing, and evidence-based decision-making, where ideas are valued based on results rather than assumptions. This is an opportunity to shape SEO strategy end-to-end while working in a collaborative, fast-moving agency setting focused on real outcomes.

Accountabilities
  • Drive organic growth across multiple client websites through on-page SEO, technical optimization, keyword strategy, and site structure improvements.
  • Conduct in-depth keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO audits to identify growth opportunities and technical issues.
  • Analyze performance data using tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, and Google Business Profile to generate actionable insights.
  • Develop and implement internal linking strategies, resolve keyword cannibalization issues, and optimize content architecture.
  • Design and execute Local SEO strategies, including Google Maps optimization and visibility improvements across local and AI-driven search surfaces.
  • Collaborate with writers, designers, developers, and SEO peers to test new ideas, improve deliverables, and optimize campaign performance.
  • Work directly with clients to understand business goals, communicate SEO insights clearly, and translate requirements into effective strategies.
  • Continuously test new SEO approaches, evaluate algorithm updates, and contribute insights that improve overall team performance.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, attend webinars or conferences, and proactively bring new learnings into client strategies.
Requirements
  • 3+ years of hands-on SEO experience with proven results in improving rankings and organic traffic.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a client-facing SEO role within an agency environment.
  • Strong proficiency with SEO and analytics tools including Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Business Profile.
  • Solid working knowledge of tools such as Ahrefs, SEMrush, Screaming Frog, or similar platforms.
  • Proven ability to design and execute both short-term and long-term SEO strategies that balance quick wins and sustainable growth.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, identify patterns, and adapt strategies under algorithm changes.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts independently in a fast-paced, fully remote environment.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to simplify complex SEO concepts for clients and stakeholders.
  • Experience with WordPress or other CMS platforms and basic understanding of HTML/CSS is a plus.
  • Exposure to digital PR, link building, or off-site SEO strategies is a strong advantage.
  • Experience in automotive SEO, local SEO, or multi-location businesses is considered a plus.
  • Bonus: Experience building and growing your own website with measurable SEO results.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary paid in USD on a consistent monthly basis.
  • Fully remote role with flexibility to work from anywhere in Latin America or Europe.
  • 10 paid vacation days annually plus U.S. federal holidays.
  • High level of ownership over SEO strategy and execution with freedom to test and innovate.
  • Collaborative, high-performance agency culture focused on experimentation and continuous improvement.
  • Access to SEO conferences, webinars, and ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Supportive environment with strong mentorship and clear growth pathways.
  • Opportunity to work on impactful, real-world SEO projects in a specialized automotive niche.
  • Culture that values curiosity, data-driven decisions, and measurable results.
