Overview: The RV Unit Inventory Supervisor oversees the daily operation of the inventory department and the administrative accuracy of all RV units (New and Used Motorhomes, Travel Trailers, Fifth Wheels, etc.). Reporting directly to the Director of Inventory, you will be responsible for ensuring 100% data integrity in Motility. This role requires an analytically sharp leader who can balance precise auditing with hands-on lot management and coordinate smoothly with OEM partners.
Key Responsibilities
- DMS Data Integrity: Serve as the gatekeeper for unit data in the DMS (e.g., Motility). While the Director establishes ordering strategies, you will execute and supervise the data entry precisely logging VINs, option packages, and freight additions to ensure actual unit costs are perfectly accurate.
- Cross-Functional Bridge: Act as the daily, tactical liaison between the Unit Inventory department and the licensing department.
- Discrepancy Investigation: Dive deep into invoicing and missing unit paperwork, compiling clean data files for the Director to use in manufacturer negotiations.
Qualifications & Skills
- Experience: 3–5 years of hands-on serialized inventory or logistics management (RV, automotive, marine, or heavy equipment), showing a proven track record of managing field operations.
- Technical Focus: High technical proficiency in IDS, Motility, or similar DMS platforms. Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to catch data entry and invoicing errors before they impact the bottom line.
- Execution-Minded Leadership: Ability to manage and motivate an inventory team while maintaining a highly organized, administrative workflow.
- Communication: Crisp, concise reporting style—capable of bubbling up critical lot and data variances to the Director of Inventory with solutions already attached.
Working Environment
- Work in both office and outdoor dealership environments, including inventory lots and service areas.
- Exposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and moving vehicles.
- Regular interaction with team members, vendors, and transportation partners while maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 30 pounds; occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds with assistance.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record required.
Benefits:
- Competitive pay plus commission
- Health, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with company match
- Paid time off and holidays
- Opportunities for training and career development
