Job Description

Creative Strategist - eCommerce (Mid to Senior)

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Creative Strategist - eCommerce (Mid to Senior) based in United States.

This role sits at the intersection of creativity and performance marketing, where strategic thinking directly drives commercial impact. You will be responsible for shaping creative direction across high-growth eCommerce brands in the US and Canada, ensuring every concept is rooted in data, customer insight, and conversion strategy. Rather than focusing on aesthetics alone, you will design creative that performs—turning insights into testing roadmaps, messaging frameworks, and high-performing ad concepts. Working closely with media buyers, designers, and clients, you will help translate performance data into actionable creative strategy. This is a fast-paced, results-driven environment where clarity, speed, and experimentation are key. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, communicates confidently with clients, and understands how creative fuels scalable revenue growth.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and own creative strategies for eCommerce clients, translating performance data into actionable testing roadmaps.
  • Create hooks, messaging frameworks, scripts, and briefs that guide designers and editors toward high-converting creative output.
  • Analyze campaign performance to identify winning patterns, gaps, and opportunities for new creative angles.
  • Review and provide performance-driven feedback on ad creatives including UGC, video, static, and carousel formats.
  • Collaborate directly with clients through strategy calls, content planning sessions, and creative direction discussions.
  • Partner with media buyers and growth teams to iterate campaigns rapidly and improve performance outcomes.
  • Continuously refine and evolve internal creative strategy frameworks and playbooks.
  • Ensure all creative hypotheses are grounded in customer insight, data trends, and market behavior.
Requirements
  • 2–3+ years of experience in Creative Strategy, Performance Creative, Paid Social, or a related eCommerce marketing role.
  • Strong understanding of direct response marketing principles, including hooks, angles, market sophistication, and conversion-focused messaging.
  • Proven ability to develop data-driven creative hypotheses and translate insights into campaign strategy.
  • Excellent copywriting and messaging skills across ads, scripts, and creative briefs.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to present ideas clearly to both internal teams and external clients.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret campaign performance and identify actionable insights.
  • Experience working in fast-paced, performance-driven environments such as agencies or high-growth brands is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with platforms such as Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, and UGC-based creative is a strong advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and create clarity in ambiguous situations.
Benefits
  • Competitive salary range of USD $65,000–$75,000 depending on experience.
  • Fully remote-first work environment across US and Canada time zones.
  • Direct mentorship from senior leadership and creative strategy experts.
  • Fast-paced, high-performance culture focused on measurable results.
  • Opportunity to work with leading eCommerce and CPG brands.
  • High autonomy and ownership over creative strategy decisions.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge direct response marketing frameworks and experimentation systems.
  • Collaborative, high-standard team environment focused on growth and impact.
