Entry-Level Power Systems Electrical Engineer
Location: Marietta, Ohio
Job Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time
Pay: Starting at $80,000/year (higher compensation available based on experience)
We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Power Systems Electrical Engineer to join an innovative engineering team focused on the design and development of electrical power distribution equipment. Key Responsibilities- Develop electrical designs for power distribution products, including component selection and system integration
- Assist with thermal design, mechanical packaging concepts, and interconnection hardware selection
- Apply knowledge of analog and digital circuit design, magnetics, and thermal management
- Create engineering specifications for power protection and distribution systems
- Design power and control circuits for switchboards and related equipment
- Develop and maintain bills of materials, schematics, and engineering documentation
- Support the integration and qualification of third-party components within electrical systems
- Participate in hardware design reviews to improve product performance and reliability
- Prepare technical documentation, manufacturing instructions, and test procedures
- Provide engineering support for both new and existing product lines
- Perform hands-on troubleshooting of electrical systems and subsystems
- Assist with product safety certifications and compliance activities involving UL, CSA, IEC, and related standards
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar CAD drafting software
- Knowledge of power distribution equipment such as Power Distribution Units (PDU), Static Transfer Switches (STS), Remote Power Panels (RPP), or switchboards
- Experience using electrical engineering test equipment such as oscilloscopes, network analyzers, and signal generators
- Knowledge of three-phase electrical systems and power distribution
- Strong technical writing, communication, and documentation skills
- Excellent laboratory and troubleshooting abilities
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills
