Sanitation Associate in Carteret, New Jersey at Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery

Jimmy's Gourmet Bakery is looking for a reliable and hardworking Sanitation Associate to help maintain a clean, safe, and organized facility. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing common areas throughout our production and office environments to support food safety, employee well-being, and operational excellence.

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, conference rooms, entryways, and other common areas
• Sweep, mop, scrub, and vacuum floors throughout the facility
• Empty trash and dispose of waste properly
• Wipe down appliances, furniture, and frequently touched surfaces
• Follow all safety procedures when using cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Restock restroom and sanitation supplies as needed
• Report maintenance or repair needs to management
• Maintain a clean and professional environment for employees and visitors
• Follow all company food safety and sanitation policies
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old
• Previous janitorial, sanitation, or custodial experience preferred but not required
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to follow instructions and safety procedures
• Comfortable working with cleaning chemicals and sanitation equipment
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, and lift throughout the shift
• Ability to lift and carry up to 25 pounds
