PT Scholarship Assistant
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Essential Job Functions:
- Assist with processing scholarship applications, maintaining records, and updating student information in college systems.
- Assist with scholarship outreach events and workshop efforts, including preparing communication materials, presentations, and informational sessions.
- Assist with verifying application completeness and gathering required documentation for scholarship review.
- Support scholarship awarding and disbursement processes by entering data, generating reports and assisting with account reviews.
- Respond to student inquiries regarding scholarship opportunities, application requirements, deadlines, and award status through email, phone, and in-person interactions.
- Maintain scholarship files, records, and electronic documents in accordance with department procedures.
- Assist with special projects, data collection, and routine reporting as assigned by the Scholarship Manager.
Marginal Job Functions:
- Assist with campus activities.
- Attend department meetings and training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Ability to provide courteous customer service to students, employees, and community members.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and data.
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Ability to work independently on routine assignments and as part of a team.
• Basic understanding of office procedures and customer service practices.
• Ability to learn college policies, procedures, and software systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and Teams.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of student information.
Education and Experience:
Required Education:
• High School Diploma or GED.
Preferred Education:
• Associate Degree from an accredited institution.
Required Experience:
• One (1) year of clerical, administrative support, customer service, financial aid, scholarships, higher education, or related experience.
Preferred Experience:
• Experience working in a college or university environment.
• Experience using Banner or similar student information systems.
• Experience working with scholarships, financial aid, or grant programs.
Additional Responsibilities:
This position may require occasional evening or weekend hours to support outreach events, workshops, and student engagement activities.
