Production Specialist (Seasonal) in Kapolei, Hawaii at Honolulu Cookie Company

THIS IS A SEASONAL POSITION THAT WILL TAKE PLACE FROM JULY UNTIL DECEMBER 2026.

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the production and preparation of various finished products for all revenue centers following product specifications, good manufacturing practices, and food safety while maintaining efficiency and quality across all operational flow and product movement.

• Consistently follows departmental directions and adheres to all product specifications, food safety programs, GMPs, and HACCP Policies
• Follows Standard Operating Procedures and ensures that production requirements and standards are consistently met
• Ensures products are packed according to the product matrix and production schedule
• Ensures safe and proper use of equipment; actively participates and supports company safety and security standards at all times
• Rotates among duties within the assembly line including the box opener, cookie filler, checker and case packer
• Performs other production duties: pick/pack orders, receive/stow products, and ensures inventory accuracy
• Observes products across multiple stages and ensures; correct count, flavor, label accuracy, and correct case packs
• Stages and sets up raw materials in order based on the packing schedule
• Identifies and sorts out damaged/ defective raw materials and cookies
• Assists Order Fulfillment and Bakery production during peak season
• Reports any product deficiencies, food, or safety concerns to the lead, supervisor, or manager
• Examines and inspects containers, materials, and products for quality and quantity to ensure that packing specifications are met
• Meets all training requirements
• Cross-trains with other department members for maximum flexibility
• Moves products and inventory using an inventory system
• Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follow prescribed safety regulations
• Effectively communicates information and responds to questions from various levels within the organization
• Maintains the production pace set by the production leader
• May partake in general daily sanitation as needed to maintain continuous production flow
• Performs all other duties as assigned

• Represents the company brand image and shares aloha to all customers, business partners, and co-workers at all levels throughout the company
• High school diploma or its equivalent with 2 years of experience in the field/related area
• Possess basic mathematical skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Consistently demonstrate a sense of urgency and an action-oriented attitude for results
• Ability to read and understand various documents, forms, and reports
• Able to understand and follow oral and written instructions
• Effectively communicate and respond to questions from various organizational levels

• Continuously lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs
• Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, grasping, bending, stooping, and squatting and some repetitive motions
• Able to sit, stand and walk throughout an 8 to 10-hour shift
• Good vision and hearing. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
• Able to work flexible hours and overtime as required, including nights, weekends, holidays and extended hours
