We're currently hiring Maintenance Parts Coordinator for 1st Shift schedule starting 6:00am Monday-Friday (occasional overtime).
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITY: (Summary of job duties)
Responsible for supporting the maintenance department through organization and control of maintenance parts inventory, maintenance system data entry, and administrative support of preventive maintenance (PM) programs. This role ensures accurate tracking of maintenance work orders, PM documentation, and inventory records within CMMS/Redzone systems. Provides general administrative support to the maintenance team to help ensure equipment reliability and efficient plant operations.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintains accurate inventory of maintenance parts, including organization, labeling, and proper storage of stock items.
- Monitors parts usage and stock levels and communicates shortages or reorder needs to Maintenance leadership.
- Receives incoming parts and supplies, verifies accuracy against packing slips, and ensures proper documentation is completed.
- Enters, updates, and closes work orders in CMMS/Redzone systems as directed by maintenance leadership.
- Assists in maintaining preventive maintenance (PM) schedules, records, and documentation.
- Ensures maintenance documentation is accurately filed, organized, and maintained according to department standards.
- Researches and resolves discrepancies related to parts, work orders, and maintenance records.
- Supports maintenance technicians and supervisors with administrative tasks related to work orders, PMs, and equipment records.
- Provides general clerical support to the maintenance department, including phone coverage and coordination of maintenance paperwork.
- Maintains accurate data entry and supports integrity of maintenance system records.
- Follows established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards.
- Attends all company and department required trainings.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
Must be able to work effectively in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment. Must be able to navigate CMMS/Redzone or similar maintenance management systems with accuracy. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to follow through on tasks is required. Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate effectively with staff and leadership. Must have legible handwriting and strong documentation skills.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or GED. Two to three years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment, with occasional activity performed in a warehouse type atmosphere where the temperature is approximately 32 degrees. While performing the responsibilities of this position, the individual is required to have ambulatory skills sufficient to visit various parts of the facility. Requires the ability to stand, walk, climb stairs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 30lbs. Requires sitting, operating a computer keyboard, telephone and other equipment for extended periods of time.
