Job Description
Evolve Psychiatry is seeking an experienced and highly organized New Patient Coordinator to join our growing outpatient mental health practice. This is a fast-paced, phone-heavy position that serves as the first point of contact for prospective patients seeking psychiatric and therapy services.
The ideal candidate is friendly, compassionate, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing a high volume of inbound and outbound calls while maintaining excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
* Answer incoming calls from prospective patients seeking services
* Make outbound calls to schedule intake appointments
* Contact patient referrals from physicians, hospitals, and other healthcare providers
* Follow up with hospital discharge referrals and coordinate timely appointments
* Create and maintain accurate patient charts and demographic information
* Verify and enter patient information into the EMR
* Communicate with providers and administrative staff regarding scheduling needs
* Ensure all new patient paperwork and intake requirements are completed
* Provide exceptional customer service to patients and families
Requirements:
* **Minimum 5 years of experience as a Medical Receptionist, Patient Coordinator, or Intake Coordinator**
* Strong telephone communication skills and professional demeanor
* Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
* Excellent organizational and time-management skills
* Reliable internet connection and dedicated workspace (Tech check with our IT team will be required before employment offer is made. This will include checking current computer operating system and internet speeds)
Preferred Qualifications:
* Mental health or psychiatry experience strongly preferred
* Experience with **eClinicalWorks (eCW)*
* preferred
* Experience handling referrals, hospital discharges, and patient intake coordination
