Science and Math Teacher (Home-Based) in Dubai at 800Storage

We are seeking a passionate, patient, and intellectually curious Science and Math Teacher to provide one-on-one academic instruction for primary-school-aged children in a home setting. This role is focused on building strong foundational skills in mathematics and the sciences through hands-on experiments, real-world problem solving, and inquiry-based learning — making abstract concepts tangible and exciting.

The teacher will work in a warm, family-oriented home environment that values deep understanding over rote memorization. A teaching style that connects science and math to everyday life, nature, and genuine curiosity is strongly encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver structured, engaging Science and Math lessons tailored to each child's learning level, pace, and interests
• Use hands-on experiments, puzzles, manipulatives, and real-world examples to make concepts concrete and meaningful
• Cover core areas including numeracy, arithmetic, algebra foundations, geometry, basic physics, biology, chemistry, and earth sciences
• Track and document each child's academic progress through portfolios, notes, and regular assessments
• Adapt teaching methods based on the child's evolving strengths, gaps, and learning style
• Cultivate a love for scientific thinking — observation, questioning, hypothesis, and discovery
• Provide a calm, encouraging, and intellectually stimulating learning environment
• Communicate regularly with parents on progress, challenges, and next steps

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Degree in Education, Science, Mathematics, or a related field
• Proven experience teaching primary-aged children in one-on-one or small group settings
• Strong ability to explain complex concepts in simple, age-appropriate language
• Naturally curious, enthusiastic about learning, and able to inspire the same in children
• Patient, observant, and skilled at identifying and addressing learning gaps early
• Comfortable with project-based and inquiry-led teaching approaches
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to showing up consistently

Qualifications

• Fluent in English (Arabic or Spanish is a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Based in Dubai or committed to relocating
• Organized, self-directed, and comfortable working independently within a home environment
