Position Description
The Laboratory for Particle Physics and Cosmology at Harvard University invites applications for two Post-Doctoral Fellowships to be associated with the ATLAS experiment. Applicants for these positions should have a Ph.D. in experimental particle physics. Experience with state-of-the-art detector systems and with the analysis software of a particle physics experiment are required.

The successful applicants are expected to be stationed at CERN and work with either Professor Masahiro Morii on the commissioning of the ITK tracking detector or with Prof. Melissa Franklin, on the muon spectrometer Level 1 MDT trigger. The applicants will be expected to engage in a physics measurement through data analysis as well. Applicants should send a curriculum vitae, a list of publications, and a statement of research interest, and arrange for three (3) letters of reference. Applications received by Nov. 1, 2026, will receive full consideration. We will accept applications after that date if the position has not been filled.
Basic Qualifications
Candidates for this position must have completed their Ph.D. degree by the
appointment start date.

years of experience, training or qualification, field of scholarship, and
accomplishments in the field.
