Experience: All experience levels welcome
CDL: Class A CDL a plus, but not required

We are looking for a Trailer and Fleet Mechanic to join our maintenance team and work alongside our Head Mechanic. This position will assist with the repair, maintenance, service, and preparation of our company-owned tractor/trailer equipment, with a primary focus on Pneumatic/Bulk Tank, Van, and Reefer Trailers.

This is a great opportunity for someone with mechanical experience who wants to continue developing their skills, as well as someone who is mechanically inclined and interested in learning the trade. We are open to candidates with a variety of experience levels and are willing to train the right person.


What You'll Do
  • Assist the Head Mechanic with repairs, maintenance, and servicing of company-owned trailers and equipment.
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs on Pneumatic/Bulk Tank, Van, and Flatbed Trailers.
  • Assist with Preventive Maintenance (PM) inspections and services.
  • Assist with tire changes, repairs, rotations, and replacements.
  • Assist with trailer repairs that may include basic welding and fabrication.
  • Help prepare trailers and equipment to ensure they are safe, serviced, and road ready.
  • Assist with repairs and maintenance of company-owned vehicles, lawn equipment, and shop equipment.
  • Help move trailers and equipment in and out of the shop as needed.
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean and organized condition.
  • Maintain appropriate maintenance records and assist with equipment tracking.
  • Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Work as part of a team and assist the Head Mechanic and Maintenance Manager with daily maintenance needs.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For

We're open to all experience levels. Previous experience is helpful, but we're willing to train someone who has the right attitude, mechanical aptitude, and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous mechanical or maintenance experience.
  • Experience working on tractors, trailers, trucks, or other heavy equipment.
  • Welding or fabrication experience.
  • Experience with tires and tire service.
  • Previous tractor/trailer driving experience.
  • Class A CDL is a plus, but not required.
  • Ability to learn new mechanical skills and follow instructions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to safety and detail.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
Physical Requirements

This position requires regular physical activity in a shop environment, including:

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. occasionally from floor to waist. Assistance is required for items weighing more than 50 lbs.
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. overhead.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to kneel, crawl, stoop, climb ladders and stairs, and work at heights.
  • Ability to push, pull, and maneuver equipment and trailer components.
  • Ability to safely operate or assist with trailer movement and equipment positioning.
  • Good balance and hand strength/dexterity.
  • Ability to occasionally crank trailer landing gear/dolly legs.
  • Ability to perform work requiring close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color vision.
  • Ability to safely perform the physical demands of a medium-heavy maintenance position.
Work Environment

This position works primarily in a maintenance shop and outdoor environment and may involve exposure to weather conditions, vehicle exhaust, grease, oils, dirt, noise, and other typical conditions associated with truck and trailer maintenance.
