Senior Compliance Specialist
JOB SUMMARY:
The Senior compliance professional supports financial compliance activities and provides compliance program support to Mason Companies under the direction of the Vice President and General Counsel.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Provide advice, support and assistance with a broad range of compliance and legal issues
- Perform routine compliance monitoring, prepare reports, and recommend and coordinate remediation activities
- Provide and participate in compliance training pursuant to the Company’s compliance program
- Assess the effectiveness of established policies and procedures and recommend improvements
- Evaluate new products and services offered by the Company for compliance requirements and implications
- Monitor changes in applicable laws and regulations for potential impact on the Company
- Support internal investigations and external audits
- Prepare documentation and respond to inquiries as directed
- Review marketing, advertising, consumer, employee and other materials for compliance with the Company’s policies and applicable law
- Prepare, file and track regulatory applications, licenses, renewals, notices and other filings
- Develop strong working relationships across the Company and support cross-functional teams as directed
- Interact with outside legal counsel as appropriate and authorized to promote high quality, cost-effective, responsive external legal services
- Produce professional quality, efficient, creative, practical, and responsive services
SECONDARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Support Legal Department administration and services, including software application administration, project workflow and other activities
- Support insurance and related risk management activities as directed
- Support incident response and remediation activities, as directed
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting compliance programs for a financial institution
- Demonstrated experience with financial and consumer protection laws, including federal banking laws, ECOA, TILA, GLBA, FCRA, UDAAP, AML, OFAC, and state credit, fraud, privacy and other consumer protection laws
- Relevant compliance certifications preferred
- Familiarity with relevant legal technology, including contract management, compliance, legal research, AI, automation, and other solutions

- Impeccable integrity, discretion, and ability to handle confidential and sensitive matters.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to effectively convey complex information to a non-legal audience
- Collaborative approach to working across functions with management and employees at all levels to achieve desired outcomes

- This position is located in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Flexible work arrangements may be available
