Clinical Sales Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Clinical Sales Manager based in India.

This role leads clinical sales activities and supports the growth and utilization of advanced surgical technology across an assigned region. You will manage and develop a clinical sales team while strengthening relationships with hospitals, surgeons, and care teams. The position combines sales leadership, clinical education, account development, and new system installations. You will help expand adoption across existing accounts and introduce new surgeons to applicable surgical solutions. Working closely with training, marketing, and other internal teams, you will drive regional strategies and commercial objectives. This is a field-based leadership role in a dynamic healthcare environment, with significant travel and opportunities to influence the adoption of innovative medical technologies.

Accountabilities:
  • Develop and execute regional clinical sales strategies to achieve and exceed commercial objectives.
  • Drive increased clinical utilization across existing hospital and healthcare accounts.
  • Identify opportunities to expand adoption by engaging and training new surgeons across relevant specialties.
  • Lead clinical training, education, and utilization programs within the installed customer base.
  • Manage the installation process for new surgical systems and coordinate relevant stakeholders.
  • Prospect for new system installations and identify opportunities for system upgrades within existing accounts.
  • Lead, coach, and develop clinical sales representatives, supporting their performance and professional growth.
  • Provide the clinical sales team with updates on new products, technologies, and enhancements to existing solutions.
  • Partner with training and marketing teams to implement new strategies, educational programs, and commercial initiatives.
  • Monitor regional activity, customer engagement, and sales performance while ensuring effective execution of the sales process.
Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification required.
  • 10+ years of sales experience, including at least 5 years in medical device sales.
  • Proven experience managing, leading, and developing a sales team within the medical device industry.
  • Strong background in clinical sales, healthcare technology adoption, and customer engagement.
  • Demonstrated ability to introduce new technologies or solutions into healthcare markets is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of the operating room environment and clinical workflows.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead and manage teams remotely across a regional territory.
  • Strong commercial, organizational, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience using structured sales processes and sales management platforms.
  • Fluent English and proficiency in the relevant local language preferred.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 50%, depending on account distribution and business requirements.
