DHL is seeking a Digital Print Technician to operate industrial UV flatbed and inkjet printing equipment within our new customization operation supporting a major consumer-products brand. This is a hands-on production role focused on UV digital printing, printer setup, print quality, and equipment troubleshooting.
The ideal candidate has experience in industrial printing and digital print production with a strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot quality issues to ensure accurate and efficient production of printed materials.
Digital Print Technician
Schedule: First (1st) Shift, Monday - Thursday: 5:00am - 3:30pm. Overtime required as needed.
Pay: $21.35 / hour
What You'll Do:
- Operate UV flatbed inkjet printing equipment, including material preparation, alignment, calibration, and safe operation
- Prepare and inspect materials and substrates for UV printing, ensuring flatness, dimensions, surface condition, and alignment
- Monitor print production for design accuracy, color consistency, and overall quality
- Monitor printer heads and perform consistent checks, cleaning, and alignment to maintain quality and consistency
- Perform preventative maintenance, including cleaning, inspections, and managing ink systems while replacing consumables
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software-related printing issues
- Accurately record production output, job details, maintenance activities, and scrap/rework while maintaining a clean and safe work area
Our Ideal Candidate Has:
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Experience operating industrial printers, UV flatbed printers, or related production equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and equipment troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and follow technical specifications
- Basic computer literacy to operate printer software and job management systems
- Background in digital printing, signage, packaging, or manufacturing, desirable
- Knowledge of UV ink systems, color calibration, RIP software, and print profiles, desirable

Digital Print Technician
Role Purpose:
The Digital Print Technician is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining a high throw ultraviolent flatbed inkjet printer to ensure the accurate and efficient production of high-quality printed materials. This role requires strong attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to troubleshoot print quality issues related to substrate flatness, image fidelity, and print head performance.
Key Accountabilities:
- Operate the high throw ultraviolent flatbed inkjet printer in accordance with established production schedules and quality standards.
- Prepare materials and substrates, ensuring proper alignment, flatness, and suitability for UV printing.
- Load, calibrate print head height, and unload materials from the printer safely and efficiently.
- Perform daily start-up, calibration, and shutdown procedures.
- Inspect substrates before printing to verify flatness, surface condition, and correct dimensions—ensuring compatibility with high-throw UV printing.
- Continuously monitor print jobs for design accuracy, color consistency, registration, and overall print quality.
- Use precision tools (e.g., calipers, straightedges, thickness gauges) to confirm substrate tolerances and flatness.
- Document quality checks and communicate deviations promptly.
- Monitor printer heads and UV inkjet nozzles for clogging, misfiring, or alignment issues.
- Perform routine nozzle checks, cleaning cycles, and alignment procedures to maintain image clarity and print consistency.
- Assist in diagnosing and correcting print head performance issues, escalating to maintenance or technical support when required.
- Perform preventive maintenance on the printer, including cleaning components, inspecting mechanical parts, and managing ink systems.
- Replace consumables (wipers, filters, ink cartridges) as needed.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or software issues to minimize downtime.
- Maintain a clean, organized work area compliant with safety standards.
- Accurately record job details, production output, scrap/rework, and maintenance activities in production logs or digital systems.
- Collaborate closely with design, engineering, and production teams to resolve printing concerns or improve workflow.
- Follow all safety protocols and report hazards or equipment concerns immediately.
Required Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required.
- Experience with industrial printers, UV flatbed printers, or related production equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to read technical specifications.
- Basic computer literacy for operating printer software and job management systems.
- Experience operating high throw ultraviolent flatbed inkjet printer.
- Read a standard tape measure, and other measuring devices
