Job Title: Maintenance Technician

Location: Laramie, WY

Department: Maintenance

Reports To: Maintenance Manager

Job Type: Full-Time

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs of manufacturing equipment and facilities to ensure efficient and safe operations. This role involves diagnosing mechanical and electrical issues, conducting preventative maintenance, and implementing solutions to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key responsibilities

Preventative maintenance

? Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.

? Schedule and perform routine maintenance tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and part replacements.

? Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment performance.

Troubleshooting and repairs

? Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues with manufacturing equipment.

? Perform repairs and adjustments to machinery and equipment to ensure optimal performance.

? Utilize technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve problems.

Equipment installation and upgrades

? Assist in the installation, commissioning, and testing of new equipment.

? Implement upgrades and modifications to existing equipment as needed to improve performance and efficiency.

Safety and compliance

? Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

? Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.

? Participate in safety training and continuous improvement initiatives.

Inventory and documentation

? Maintain an inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies necessary for maintenance activities.

? Document maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment modifications in maintenance logs and databases.

Collaboration and communication

? Work closely with production staff to understand equipment issues and provide timely solutions.

? Communicate effectively with supervisors, engineers, and other team members regarding maintenance activities and equipment status.

? Provide training and support to other maintenance personnel as needed.

Schedule

? Full-time

? Primarily day shift

? On-call and after-hours response as required to support the 24/7/365 operation. Call frequency varies with production demands rather than following a fixed rotation.

Requirements:

Qualifications

? Must be 18 years or older.

? Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.

? Must be a U.S. Citizen.

? High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in maintenance or a related field is preferred.

? A minimum of 3 years of experience in maintenance, preferably in a manufacturing environment.

? Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.

? Proficiency with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and technical manuals.

? Knowledge of industrial equipment, including conveyors, pumps, motors, and PLC systems.

? Experience maintaining furnaces, ovens, or comparable thermal processing equipment preferred.

? Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.

? Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

? Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

? Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical requirements

? Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (50 pounds or more) and perform physical tasks such as bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

? Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
