Job Description

Company Overview:

Our company is a start-up that specializes in episodes of care benefit plans. We have a deep expertise in episode pricing and analytics and our goal is to bring transparency and efficiency to the healthcare market. Our company is committed to providing high-quality, affordable healthcare to our customers.

Role Description

As a Senior Frontend Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of high-quality, high-performance web and mobile experiences across our Member, Advisor, and other portals. You will work closely with product, design, backend engineering, and analytics teams to deliver user-centered features that are fast, accessible, and reliable.

Your contributions will shape the digital front door through which members learn about their care options, estimate costs, manage their plans, and stay connected with Oxbridge Health. Every pixel you touch will help people plan better, feel more confident, and experience healthcare with clarity and certainty instead of confusion.

Responsibilities
  • Build and launch high-quality user interfaces for web and mobile that empower members to plan and manage their healthcare.
  • Drive end-to-end ownership: requirements, architecture, implementation, testing, and production monitoring.
  • Implement elegant, responsive, and accessible React-based experiences (React, TypeScript) integrated with GraphQL and REST APIs.
  • Collaborate with backend engineers to design clean API contracts and maintain separation of concerns.
  • Lead with a test-driven mindset: write robust unit, integration, and e2e tests, and partner with engineering to ensure full automation coverage.
  • Continuously optimize performance, page load times, and Lighthouse/Core Web Vitals scores.
  • Build reusable UI components and frontend infrastructure aligned with engineering best practices.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, own monitoring dashboards, and ensure high reliability and availability.
  • Mentor and hire engineers, influence engineering culture, and uphold high standards across code quality, documentation, and design.
  • Help shape and evolve the product experience, participating in design reviews, usability discussions, and roadmap planning.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience building and operating production-grade web and mobile applications, ideally in consumer or healthcare environments.
  • Expert-level proficiency in React/React Native, TypeScript, modern UI patterns, state management, and component design.
  • Strong understanding of GraphQL, REST API integrations, caching strategies, CDNs, and databases.
  • Proven track record of shipping high-quality, user-focused products end-to-end.
  • Deep experience with performance optimization, accessibility, responsive design, and cross-device support.
  • Strong testing discipline with experience in unit and integration testing: Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience improving and operating production systems, including logging, monitoring, alarms, and error tracking.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate across disciplines, communicate clearly, and influence technical direction.
  • Passion for building products that help people, especially in health, wellness, or consumer empowerment.
Why This Role Matters

The frontend is the primary interface through which members experience Oxbridge Health. By crafting intuitive, trustworthy, and beautifully simple experiences, you will:

  • Help members plan the right care at the right time
  • Reduce financial stress by showing clear, predictable costs
  • Enhance health literacy and confidence
  • Improve outcomes by guiding members to better choices
  • Contribute to a healthier, more empowered society

Your work will directly impact real people's lives, not just in convenience, but in health.
