Job Description

Senior Product Manager, Ad Monetization

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Product Manager, Ad Monetization based in Italy.

This role offers the opportunity to own the product strategy for an emerging ad monetization business serving mobile app developers.
You will join a lean product and engineering team and take significant ownership of the roadmap from discovery through delivery and iteration.
Your work will help developers better monetize advertising inventory while contributing to the development of a new strategic product area.
You will work closely with engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams in a highly autonomous, remote-first environment.
The role combines deep knowledge of mobile advertising with strong product judgment, technical fluency, and an entrepreneurial approach.
You will use customer insights, experimentation, and data to identify opportunities, validate hypotheses, and determine where to invest next.
Over time, you will become a key internal expert on ad monetization and help shape the longer-term direction of the product area.

Accountabilities
  • Own significant portions of the ad monetization product roadmap, taking responsibility for product discovery, prioritization, execution, and outcomes.
  • Develop a deep understanding of existing ad monetization capabilities, including ad revenue tracking, rewarded-ad infrastructure, virtual currency, entitlement flows, and server-side reward validation.
  • Engage directly with customers to understand their challenges, evaluate existing products, identify unmet needs, and uncover high-impact opportunities.
  • Partner closely with engineering and design to define product requirements, explore technical solutions, validate hypotheses, and ship pragmatic solutions quickly.
  • Build and test product hypotheses using customer research, experimentation, data, and market insights to determine where to invest.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the mobile advertising ecosystem, including publisher inventory, demand sources, auctions, pricing, mediation, measurement, and monetization models.
  • Balance technical, commercial, and customer considerations when making product decisions and communicate clear recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Establish priorities and make informed decisions in an environment with significant ambiguity and strategic flexibility.
  • Ship meaningful improvements that create measurable monetization value for customers and contribute to the growth of the ad monetization product area.
  • Continuously evaluate product performance and use evidence to refine, stop, change, or deprioritize initiatives when they are not delivering expected value.
  • Develop a clear, evidence-backed long-term product vision and roadmap for ad monetization.
  • Build strong relationships across product, engineering, design, data, and go-to-market functions, as well as with senior stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of customer needs, vendor ecosystems, competitive dynamics, and relevant industry trends.
  • Act as a domain expert on advertising and monetization, helping broader teams make informed product and business decisions.
  • During the first year, take primary individual-contributor ownership of the ad monetization product area and establish a meaningful foundation for its continued growth.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years of experience owning product decisions and outcomes end-to-end, whether as a Product Manager, founder, or in another role with significant product ownership.
  • Proven experience building and shipping publisher-facing ad monetization products for mobile applications.
  • Strong understanding of mobile advertising mechanics, including publisher inventory, demand sources, auctions, pricing, mediation, measurement, and related monetization models.
  • Practical understanding of the incentives and commercial dynamics across different participants in the advertising ecosystem.
  • Ability to reason effectively about both the technical and business implications of product decisions.
  • Sufficient technical fluency to work closely with engineers on SDKs, APIs, integrations, data flows, and other technical product challenges.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities, develop hypotheses, ship quickly, and learn from real-world results.
  • Strong entrepreneurial mindset, with the ability to take ownership of an early-stage initiative and help turn initial traction into a significant product area.
  • Comfortable operating with ambiguity, making decisions under uncertainty, and taking responsibility for outcomes.
  • Strong customer orientation and genuine interest in helping developers improve their monetization performance.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly across technical, commercial, and executive audiences.
  • Strong collaboration skills and the ability to build effective working relationships across product, engineering, design, data, and go-to-market teams.
  • A pragmatic, analytical, and evidence-driven approach to product development and prioritization.
Benefits:
  • Competitive equity package with the opportunity to participate in the long-term growth of a fast-growing technology company.
  • 10-year exercise window for vested equity options.
  • Fully remote working environment designed around autonomy, flexibility, and distributed collaboration.
  • 4–5 weeks of flexible paid time off annually.
  • Paid coworking space or desk.
  • Dedicated workspace budget.
  • Continuous learning and professional development stipend.
  • Opportunity to work on products operating at significant scale and serving a broad global developer ecosystem.
