VP - Delivery Management

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a VP - Delivery Management in the United States.

In this senior leadership role, you will be responsible for defining and driving the delivery management function across a large portfolio of complex client engagements. You will ensure consistent execution, strong governance, and high-quality outcomes across multiple teams delivering enterprise-scale technology and cloud transformation programs. Acting as a key operational leader, you will balance delivery excellence with financial performance, risk management, and client satisfaction. You will partner closely with executive leadership, sales, and service line leaders to ensure delivery capability aligns with business growth and strategic objectives. This role requires a hands-on leader who can both shape operating models at scale and step into high-stakes engagements when needed. Accountabilities
  • Lead and develop the delivery management organization, including delivery managers and program managers across multiple client engagements
  • Define and maintain delivery governance frameworks, operating models, methodologies, and execution standards
  • Oversee delivery performance across a broad portfolio, ensuring quality, predictability, profitability, and client satisfaction
  • Provide executive oversight for large, complex, and high-risk engagements, including escalation and stakeholder alignment
  • Partner with market and service line leaders to ensure successful execution across strategic accounts
  • Monitor delivery health using operational, financial, and client satisfaction metrics to proactively identify risks
  • Drive resource management, forecasting, utilization, and gross margin optimization across delivery teams
  • Collaborate with sales and leadership teams to support account growth, planning, and scalable delivery execution
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance delivery efficiency, consistency, and operational excellence
  • Establish standards for project planning, financial tracking, reporting, and change management processes
  • Develop talent strategies including coaching, career paths, and succession planning for delivery leadership roles
Requirements
  • 12+ years of leadership experience in consulting, professional services, or technology delivery environments
  • Proven experience leading large-scale delivery, program, or portfolio management organizations
  • Strong track record managing delivery performance with accountability for client outcomes, financial performance, and operational excellence
  • Deep understanding of professional services models including forecasting, utilization, and margin management
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in cloud, digital transformation, or Microsoft Azure consulting environments preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, PgMP, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or Scrum are a plus
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence across executive and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced environments while managing multiple priorities at scale
