Learning Experience Architect (Senior Instructional Design Lead)

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Learning Experience Architect (Senior Instructional Design Lead) in India.

In this role, you will design high-impact, end-to-end learning experiences that directly support business performance and workforce capability building. You will operate at the intersection of instructional design, learning strategy, and client consulting, translating complex business needs into engaging, outcome-driven learning solutions. The position involves hands-on ownership of learning architecture, content strategy, and solution design across multiple modalities such as eLearning, microlearning, simulations, and blended programs. You will collaborate closely with global stakeholders, subject matter experts, and internal teams to ensure learning interventions are aligned with measurable business goals. This is both a strategic and execution-focused role where you will also mentor a small team of instructional designers. You will work in a fast-paced, global environment aligned to US business hours, with strong exposure to modern learning technologies and AI-enabled design practices.

Accountabilities:
  • Lead the end-to-end design of learning solutions using structured instructional design frameworks, including learning strategies, design documents, storyboards, scripts, and detailed content blueprints.
  • Translate complex business challenges into learner-centered experiences, ensuring learning solutions are practical, engaging, and aligned with performance outcomes.
  • Develop a wide range of learning assets including eLearning modules, microlearning content, simulations, blended programs, and performance support tools.
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to conduct learning needs analysis, identify skill gaps, and define clear learning objectives and success metrics.
  • Mentor and guide a small team of instructional designers, providing feedback, reviewing deliverables, and supporting their professional development and project execution.
  • Drive continuous improvement in learning design practices, incorporating emerging technologies, AI tools, and innovative methodologies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements:
  • Extensive experience in instructional design, learning experience design, or learning architecture, with proven ability to design end-to-end learning solutions.
  • Strong background in conducting learning needs analysis, competency mapping, and translating business requirements into structured learning strategies.
  • Experience collaborating with global stakeholders, SMEs, and clients to define learning objectives and align solutions with business outcomes.
  • Proficiency in designing diverse learning formats including eLearning, blended learning, simulations, and performance support materials.
  • Familiarity with modern learning technologies, GenAI tools, and digital learning trends, with a strong interest in innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrated leadership or mentoring experience, with the ability to guide and support a small instructional design team.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills, particularly in client-facing environments.
