POSITION: Intake Specialist (“Navigator”)
LOCATION: Elizabethtown, Kentucky
This position will initially focus on front desk and reception responsibilities while providing training and development toward a full Intake Specialist ("Navigator") role. The successful candidate will provide exceptional customer service, assist callers and visitors, and learn the intake and admissions process.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
• ability to learn and retain information quickly
• ability to multitask
• attention to detail
• general computer proficiency
• bachelor's degree
• preference will be given to candidates with experience working with substance use disorder patients, peer support specialists, or who are familiar with the legal issues associated with substance abuse
Professional, compassionate, and welcoming demeanor
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TRAINING:
Answer phones with professionalism, courtesy, and compassion
Transfer calls appropriately and assist callers with general inquiries
Greet and assist visitors in a professional and welcoming manner
Make excellent first impressions on behalf of Stepworks
Learn the intake and admissions process through hands-on training
Offer hope and support to potential patients and their family members
Perform intake screenings (new patient evaluations) as training progresses
Verify patients' insurance coverage
Communicate professionally with Stepworks team members and outside referral sources
Complete documentation within our electronic systems
Take after-hours calls according to a rotating schedule.\
SHIFT: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 04:00 PM
