Job Description
Location: Lincoln, California
We are seeking a Community Standards Coordinator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for upholding and enforcing community guidelines, policies, and governing documents to ensure a safe, respectful, and well-managed community. Under the supervision of the Community Standards Manager, you will provide administrative and compliance support for the Community Standards department while also assisting other departments as needed.
This position is ideal for someone who is detail-oriented, highly organized, and committed to fairness and consistency when handling community standards matters.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure approved community standards processes are consistently followed and documents are accurately filed.
Maintain and update a detailed database to track violations and applications from initiation through resolution.
Create and distribute reports and updates to management and committees.
Learn and apply the CC and Rs , Design Guidelines, and other governing documents to assist residents and staff.
Provide professional telephone and email follow-up with residents regarding compliance issues.
Document compliance and architectural review communications.
Assist in developing and refining community standards, policies, and procedures in line with legal requirements.
Respond to inquiries about community guidelines enforcement and policy interpretations.
Support the appeals process, ensuring fairness, consistency, and thorough documentation.
Collaborate with other departments to resolve complex or escalated issues.
Generate and analyze compliance-related reports to identify trends and provide recommendations.
Effectively communicate with colleagues, residents, and committee chairs to ensure alignment and resolution of issues.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Experience in compliance, community management, or administrative support roles preferred.
Strong knowledge of or willingness to learn governing documents, CC and Rs, and applicable civil codes (California Civil Code experience is a plus).
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with strong customer service orientation.
High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database management.
Ability to handle sensitive issues with professionalism, fairness, and discretion.
